This book is very informative for an amateur artifact hunter. Quite a few insights in the pictures and descriptions that help identify the uses for various stone items, especially small flint tools.

Because of this book I found my very 1st artifact an Arrowhead. I learned so much & didn't realize the benefits of knowing such ancient practices. I would love to read more informative books like this on same subject. Nothing more beautiful then holding an artifact & thinking of the work someone took to make it for survival thousands of years ago.

This is actually a wonderful book. The book is detailed when it comes how to find surface arrowheads and other stone artifacts. This book makes me want to go out and find a few of my own. The only thing that would have made this book a 5 is a more detailed archaeology standpoint and some research behind each of the facts.
