It is an indispensable guide for coaches, parents, and doctors.
Timothy David Noakes is a South African professor of exercise and sports science at the University of Cape Town. He has run more than 70 marathons and ultramarathons, and is the author of the running book Lore of Running.
Good book for runners who’re grappling with aches, pains and maladies related to increasing running distances. The first few chapters that explain biomechanics and the anatomy are slightly better than the ones that describe each of the injuries, with notes on symptoms, diagnosis and management.
