I've learned that reading a book by this author is like running a marathon. There is often a pulse-altering and heart-pounding race to find answers and Rescuing the Stolen Child is exactly that! My mother's heart helped me understand Zane's desperation and I could also imagine the long-buried feelings that are awakened when he asks his ex-fiancée for help. Another exciting read from one of my LIS go-to authors! I always enjoy a story from Connie, and this one certainly kept me guessing. I liked the 2nd chance romance and that the characters were a bit older than the norm. The mystery was really good and moved well. I enjoyed this book!
I received this book from the author and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

This is the 2nd book I read by Connie Queen 👸. This book's storyline was okay. I liked the action in this story. I liked the Christian ✝️ theme in this story. Zane's character was okay. Bliss's character was okay. I liked the ending.
RESCUING THE STOLEN CHILD by Connie Queen is the fast-paced, fabulous suspense story of Lieutenant Texas Ranger Zane Adcock and Bliss Walker as they work together to find out the truth about an old case to save the life of a man on death row and Zane’s grandson’s life.
Zane’s had ranger blood running through his veins since he was a small boy admiring his grandfather. His dedication cost him his wife and estranged his only child. Coming home and attacked, he is told of a sentencing based on evidence being planted at the scene is about to cost a man his life. Warned that he best find evidence to stop this execution because his grandson’s life is also in the balance. He’s a grandfather? His grandson is in grave danger? The first and best person to help him is his ex-fiancée. Will she put their past relationship behind and be willing to help him?
Bliss just found out her son, that was 5 when he went missing, was found some 11 years old later apparently murdered. She’d started working with Bring the Children Home to channel her efforts to find her son, to make a difference and to reunite missing children with the folks. All while searching for her own son. While satisfying, now finding out she hadn’t been able to find her own son, just left her feeling as if she failed – herself and her son. She’s decided to leave her job when she got the call from Zane. How can she help his grandson, when she was such a failure to her own son? Would he want her help if he knew the truth about the past?
Zane and Bliss work together like a well-oiled machine – always have. It brings back the past and lots of questions about what happened. Will the truth resolve the whys or add more questions to the list? When leads pull them in many directions, will it have them wonder if they are dealing with more than one person? Even injuries will not deter them, especially when the pieces to the puzzle start to point to one of their own. Will they find Zane’s grandson in time? Can he heal the breach with this daughter? When it’s all over, where will that leave Bliss and Zane?
RESCUING THE STOLEN CHILD will pique your interest from page one and the mystery solving, danger lurking, intense suspense, and the unresolved romance will make it impossible to stop reading this amazing story once you start reading it. Connie Queen gives us a story of lingering feelings from the past, extreme danger, working to help others, determination, courage, secrets revealed, family, searching for the truth, justice and wraps it all in a wonderful thread of faith. RESCUING THE STOLEN CHILD is definitely a FIVE STAR story! I highly recommend it to everyone.
I receive a copy of this book with no requirement or expectations of a review. All opinions are completely my own. #RescuingTheStolenChild #ConnieQueen #LoveInspiredSuspense #InspirationalRomance
This book starts out with a tense scene and then the action goes full speed ahead from that point forward. Zane Adcock is a Texas Ranger. After a scary encounter with a unknown man in his home, the intruder informs him that he has kidnapped Wyatt (a grandson that Zane did not even know existed due his estrangement with his daughter). He promises to release his grandson if Zane will reopen a case and right a wrong. This man insists his brother was framed for a murder he did not commit, and his death sentence is set to be carried out soon. Zane has no clue if this man's brother is guilty or not, but he knows that he will have to work hard and quickly to save his grandson. He has to get over the shock that he has a grandson and get to work. He knows he will need help so he calls on the expert in child abductions, his former girlfriend, the woman he wanted to marry, Bliss Walker. Bliss is the head of Bring the Children Home Project.
As Zane and Bliss go in search of Wyatt and try to find other clues to see if this man was telling the truth, their lives are in danger almost constantly. Zane will stop at nothing to find his grandson, and Bliss is equally invested in bringing this little boy home. Pull up your boot straps and hang on tight because things are going to get hairy as they try to solve this crime and find Wyatt. Connie Queen knows how to write a tense, suspense-filled mystery full of action and intrigue. This story is also filled with getting past pain and finding strength and hope in faith and a future.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I have read other books by this author and I really enjoy her clean suspense books with interesting characters.
I enjoyed getting to know Lieutenant Texas Ranger Zane who ends up being teamed up with his old friend Bliss. When Zane’s grandson is kidnapped, he and Bliss race to to find the kidnapper as well as investigate an old murder case. The storyline kept me guessing from beginning to end with twist and turns that kept me interested and intrigued. I especially liked that the main characters were more mature characters since I don’t see that very often.
I really enjoyed this fast paced clean suspense drama! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions and views expressed are my own.
“He’d always had a soft spot for the former marshal, even after all this time. But when he opened his heart, it made him vulnerable—something he couldn’t deal with.”
These stories always tug at my heartstrings. Especially as a mother, missing children stories can be hard to read. I’m thankful for authors who always write from a Christian perspective and weave Hope throughout their stories. This is my third book by Queen and I’m still thrilled to be her reader. We encountered various law enforcement branches, a twisted closed case, and some weather phenomena. It was a whirlwind and high paced romantic suspense read.
Rescuing the Stolen Child is Christian Romantic Suspense at its best! Time is ticking for Texas Ranger Zane Adcock and Bliss Walker as the search for his kidnapped 4 year-old grandson. The kidnapper's brother will be executed unless they can prove his innocence. Someone in the police department set him up to take the fall of killing a cop. This story is a wild ride of non-stop action and danger with a hint of romance. I liked that the main characters--Zane and Bliss, were in their forties. I liked that Zane and Bliss suffered great loss but then got a second chance at a happily ever after. I got "into" this book from the start and finished it in one sitting!
I enjoyed reading this book. Lots of action and suspense. Lieutenant Texas Ranger Zane Adcock is attacked - the assailant want him to find out who framed his brother before the brother is executed and that he has taken his grandson hostage. A grandson he didn't know he had from his estranged daughter. Zane reaches out to Bliss Walker, his ex-fiance, who now works with an organization that searches for missing children. Will they be able to find his grandson before it is too late? Can they find out who framed the assailants brother? or will someone stop them who doesn't want the truth revealed?
When Texas Ranger Zane Adcock's grandson is kidnapped with the intention of having a cold Case relooked at to get a brother off death row. The deadline is Friday giving them a short deadline before the kidnapper kills his grandson. Zane asks his ex- fiancee Bliss Walker from Bring the children home. Can they rescue Wyatt and find the real killer before the Friday midnight deadline? To find out the answer buy yourself a copy.
Zane Adcock had no idea he had a grandson until the child is kidnapped. The child was kidnapped in order to force them to open an old case and search for evidence to exonerate the kidnapper's brother before his execution. Zane ends up teaming up with his ex-fiancee from years ago, Bliss Walker. Lots of suspense and danger along the way with a sweet and clean romance too. The theme of forgiveness and grace is inspiring.
From the back cover: "Time is running out and a child's life is on the line. When Lieutenant Texas Ranger Zane Adcock is attacked, he learns two shocking things: his estranged daughter has a son...and his grandson has been taken. The desperate kidnapper needs Zane to investigate an old murder case, and little Wyatt is his leverage. What a great book to start off August with! This was the first book I've read by Connie Queen and it definitely made me grip the edge of the book a little tighter than normal. 😉 Zane Adcock and Bliss Walker are on a mission to find Zane's secret grandson,Wyatt, who was taken from his mother as leverage to bring more attention to a previous case. With so many twists, turns, and narrow escapes I found myself not wanting to put this down and really enjoyed it!
This is my 3rd book I've read from Connie Queen and she is definitely the Queen of suspense stories. This story had suspense from chapter 1 but also a sweet and clean romance story also. The way Connie writes makes it hard to put the book down, you want/need to know what happens in the next chapter. I was given an ARC from the author but was not persuaded to leave a positive review.
Rescuing the Stolen Child is a very well written romantic suspense. The plot is a real edge of your seat page turner. If you enjoy suspense you will not want to miss this book. My thanks to the author for my advance book. This is my unbiased review.

Another well written romantic suspense from Connie Queen! She keeps you on the edge of your seat from the first page. Talk about making you consider making amends with family! I love the theme of grace and forgiveness!
This book was different from the usual: The two main characters were in their 40's. It was a great read, with a lot more going on than I anticipated. I really enjoyed this one.
This book is fast paced, has a great plot and characters that are easily invested in. Ms. Queen is a new-to-me author that I look forward to reading more.
