Designed as a supplementary text for undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in Reading Methods, Literacy Methods, and Language Arts taught in departments of education. This issues text presents current information on critical trends and developments in literacy education to help students become well versed in reading education in order to choose and articulate their own informed approach to reading education.
While this book is slightly dated at this point in time, (published in 2012) it offers incredible insight into some of the issues in literacy throughout the past. I would recommend this book to any educator and strongly encourage every reading teacher to read this book.
I learned a few strategies on how to be an effective teacher. However, most of the chapters in the book talk about literacy and literacy is not really related to my content are, French.
