The people that like astrology books can't deny that part of the appeal is simply getting an ego boost. Leo is so charismatic, Virgo is so smart, Taurus is so sensual, Scorpio is so sexy, blah, blah, God we're fabulous. I love this book because all the flattering stuff is in there, but she can also be a real bitch sometimes, but a funny, honest bitch. And I sort of have a weakness for funny, honest bitches.
Where I am usually told I have a sensual and hearty appetite, here I am informed; "you're probably one of the few women in the world who can consume cold pasta, even when the sauce has started to congeal...when you're really desperate, you'll eat anything from sunflower seeds in a cup of mayonaise to the leftovers intended for the cat." When before I was just stubborn, now "you can be as emotionally sensitive as a traffic cop in rush hour and as flexible as a slab of steel." Seriously. You gotta love a good analogy. :)
My birth date sold me out and revealed all my secrets.
Astrology might not float your boat, but who isn't a little amazed when your behaviors and personality traits can be described just by knowing your birthday. This book is scary accurate (but not 100%) and is honestly mean and sarcastic. Such sass! I enjoy it and will secretly read up on someone's sun sign as soon as I learn their birthday so I can know more about what makes them tick.
What is really funny is that the book is as old as I am and nothing much as changed. It is a fun read.
