When worlds collide. There are powers that shape history and there are powers that shape time. The end game is to be lord of both. Diabolos, The Shining One, has carefully put himself in that position, drawing forth the powers from the Abyss, as he prepares to sweep both the real world and the realms beyond under his shadow. Total domination and the eradication of everything loyal to Adonai is his only goal. The Shining One will stop at nothing and will do everything in his power to assure his success.
The forces from the Abyss have marshaled themselves against the souls of the Middle Lands. Fallen avatars and their horde are prepared for battle as the Night Hunt pursues the An-Ki in the real world. The Nephilim have been pulled through time and space to aid in the Hunt as the Convergence seeks to advance its worldwide agenda. Benedict Darwin and his entourage of high-school students find themselves at the apex of events that have far reaching consequences. Consequences that splinter souls in the real world and in those beyond.
Stephen Zimmer’s second volume of the Rising Dawn Saga is an intense, pulse raising story that will sweep the reader into fantastic worlds populated by incredible beasts, villainous and noble people and heart shattering events that are truly nail bitters. Zimmer’s richly developed characters have their own secrets which spices the storyline like a fine vintage wine. This author has the knack of bringing the spiritual conflict of Heaven and Hell into a fantasy and science fiction setting so believable that the reader is compelled to keep turning the pages. Simply put, Zimmer makes it real which is truly the mark of a gifted storyteller. The descriptive narrative is so convincing that the reader will never look at werewolves and fallen angels again in the way they have been portrayed all these years. The expanding conflict first begun in The Exodus Gate takes the reader up several notches on the intensity chart in this second book. The only down turn to this whole novel is waiting for the next installment. Zimmer’s Rising Dawn Saga has classic written all over it!

Great follow-up to The Exodus Gate. With this volume, Mr. Zimmer continues to immerse readers into his world and to make you care about each of his characters. Even the "bad guys" are not two-dimensional, as you are allowed into their heads from time to time. Anyhow, if you enjoyed Exodus Gate, definitely keep reading, seeing as how many surprises are in store.

This is the second book in THE RISING DAWN SAGA. As Stephen Zimmer promised me, there is a lot more action compared to the first book.
But like book one it is not my book of the year. I prefer Stephen Zimmer's second series: The Fires of Eden.

Wow Stephen has really made you want to fight for these characters and I can't wait to see who they align with and what paths they cross along the way.
Stephen has developed each characters depth so well that you feel how each breathe they take is so important to their cause.
