"You don't have to be an avid hunter to enjoy the many UFO hotspots in the United States. Nor do you have to have any special clearance to pull your car up along the "Alien Highway" outside of Area 51 to watch the UFOs dance in the nighttime sky. Enthusiasts and vacationers looking for out-of-the-ordinary excursions just need this unique user's guide to the most historic UFO hotspots around. Inside is classified information from across the nation, such
This book reads like part Wikipedia-esque entry (without citation) and part-travelogue for the areas these supposedly took place in. A few pages to describe the incident, and then an insert showing how to get there, where to stay, and where to eat while your there. This is your UFO Sighting tourist manual.
It really is hard to take this author seriously, too, when he one, utilizes information that is demonstrably untrue, and two, embraces every single piece of eye-witness testimony as absolutely true and accurate (a charge which can be easily shot-down by anyone who is actually familiar with how shoddy, poor, variable, and changeable such testimony can be). Also, I think COVID has put to rest forever the idea that people aren't really just stupid...
Anyway, I'm sure there are far better sources to get this information and in more detail - see the aforementioned Wikipedia. And, I bet a lot of the businesses listed herein are probably out of business by now...
This collection of stories about UFO encounters focuses on America's most compelling and well-documented cases, with an emphasis on location (in case you want to spend your vacation at a UFO "hotspot"). The UFO sightings described in this book are not the mystical variety. These are the "nuts-and-bolts" cases, the ones allegedly involving PHYSICAL spaceships (made of metal) occupied by fleshy aliens from another planet or dimension. These stories are often associated with military activities that the government attempts to hide. Many of the UFO sightings discussed in this book involved multiple, credible witnesses who directly observed the phenomena and who clearly were not seeking attention. There is also an emphasis on former military officers and officials who, later in life, divulged military secrets by admitting that they were involved in UFO and other alien encounters that the government covered up. It sounds far-fetched, but the evidence is rather convincing. If you don't believe me, read this book and decide for yourself.
This book is a strictly factual listing of various UFO sightings around the United States. It has very limited info and I found it rather boring to read. I ended up skipping around to a few of the sightings and decided not to read the whole thing.
Pretty much a travel guide to UFO hot spots around the U.S. Informative if you're into the whole Project Blue Book cover up. If it's your bag than it is a must read. Other than that skip it.
I'm just weird and like reading about aliens and things like that. This book was pretty cool to flip through and learn about incidents that I had heard of but didn't know very much about.
