Dear Readers,

The love stories in my family have always been fodder for romance novels.

My maternal grandmother and grandfather simultaneously ran a business together and raised four daughters, long before it was an accepted thing to do.  Grandpa O’Dell ran the gas station and the barber shop; Grandma O’Dell managed the grocery and cooked for customers.  They were true partners and madly in love and parted, tragically, way too soon when he succumbed to cancer when he was in his early fifties.  Grandma grieved deeply but eventually picked herself up, started a new career as a cafeteria chef, and eventually found deep romantic love and happiness again, in the form of a second marriage.

This is a story about Dr Jackson who doesn't want to live in small town where everyone knows everyone but since he a skilled surgeon and a McCabe, the entire town including his family tries to make him stay with the help of the Dr Lacey. It's all about faking and then making it real with little back stories behind the MCs. One time read

Enjoyed this romance storyline, the humour and hospital environment of a small town.
Quite the circumstances evolved for these two people Dr. Lacey Buchanan and Dr. Jackson McCabe. Lacey had to deal with the weight of her childhood and as a young female student, college, med school and during residency...

I am interested in reading about the Jackson's brothers' stories in

Wonder if Patricia Weatherby and her daughter Molly a young paediatric patient of Lacey's will turn up in one of the future McCabes. I like how they were brought into the story and fit in just perfectly to this storyline.

I got this in a grab bag of books and it was just blah. Standard for the genre and reminds me why I do not normally read these books. Nothing really to talk about.
