Billionaire Boys Club #1
Hawke: Christmas in Paradise
Christmas in Paradise, is a Steamy, Holiday Billionaire Romance that will heat up the sheets and keep you warm on a cold winter’s night.
Christmas in paradise turns out to be way more than she bargained for…
Quinn Hayes had it all and lost it all. Her picture-perfect relationship, the venture capital she needs to launch her fledgling company…gone. All she has now is the vacation she planned to take with her ex-fiancé—and there’s no way she’s letting that go. The last thing she expects (or wants) to find in Euphoria is love. But the sexy, confident man she meets there has her wondering if a rebound is precisely what she needs.
Hawke Sterling doesn’t do romance. He’s far too jaded for that. Fairy tale, happily ever after endings just aren’t for people like him. But there’s something about Quinn that has him questioning everything. She’s smart, charming, and entirely too gorgeous for his peace of mind. Too bad the only thing he has to offer her is heartbreak.
When it turns out that Hawke holds the key to Quinn’s professional success (or ultimate failure), he’ll have to decide if the cost of being with her is more than he’s willing to pay—and Quinn will need to decide if taking a second chance at love is worth the risk…

Quinn has just been betrayed by her fiancé and best friend, so she escapes to the resort Euthoria, to get away from it all. Quinn meets Hawke when they board the same plane headed to Euthoria. When Quinn overindulges on alcohol and cold medicine, Hawke takes care of her and ensures she gets to her resort room safely. Hawke doesn’t believe in love and is a no commitment kind of a guy, but something about Quinn starts him thinking about the impossible. With each day, Quinn and Hawke grow closer, and fight their attraction, but their attraction wins out in the end. Obstacles are soon thrown into their paths, will they get their HEA? Read and find out for yourself you won’t be disappointed. An incredible story and a definite must read.

I received this ARC and here is my honest review. Ellie Masters has done it again. I could not put this book down until I finished it! Quinn Hayes has everything she ever wanted...or so she thought. Devastated by the betrayal of the two people closest to her has left her reeling in shock. She escapes to a resort called Euphoria. Hawke Sterling has everything, looks, money and brains. The only thing is, he doesn't believe in love. The only person he loves is his twin sister. Quinn and Hawke meet when they board the same plane heading to the resort. He discovers Quinn is terrified of flying. She self medicates with alcohol and cold medicine. Hawke is too much of a gentleman to leave her to her own devices when they land. He sees to it Quinn gets safely to the resort and checked into her suite and leaves her with a friend who is a doctor. They are attracted to each other and try to fight it to no avail. Will they get their HEA, despite all of the obstacles that face them? Get this book ASAP and find out. I promise you won't regret it. Sorry, no spoilers.

Cinderella’s mother had nothing on Hawke’s, it is amazing that he turned out as well as he did. Unfortunately for Quinn this made him a no commitment kind of man or so he thinks. The clue is in the kindness he shows Quinn on the plane and the love he has for his sister even if it means he hurts Quinn to save Cherise. The chemistry between Quinn and Hawke is electric and opens Quinn’s eyes to what she has been missing.
The story has many ups and downs and a few heartbreaks and some chuckles along the way, I love Quinn’s Mom, she is the opposite of Hawke’s cruel, destructive mother and her brothers are great even if a little overprotective at times. Quinn is no pushover in spite of appearing that way because she is a thinker, her dealings in the Boardroom were wonderful as is this book. I loved it and the ending is perfect.

Quinn Hayes escapes to Euphoria Resort after she walks in on her new fiancé cheating with her best friend. Quinn enjoys hanging out with the handsome playboy Hawke Sterling, who makes Quinn feel things she's never felt before. But Quinn don’t belong in Hawke's life and he doesn’t belong in hers, which is why she has to leave. Is Quinn making a big mistake?

Are you ready for Christmas in Paradise? Ellie Masters takes us to a tropical resort to bask in the blue skies in the ocean breeze. It’s the perfect timing for this seasonal romance. With the whole world stuck at home and tropical beach vacations a no-go, the next best thing is to read all about it and enjoy watching romance bloom in the most beautiful place in the world.
Hawke tries to keep to himself and not get involved but something inside him just won't allow it. He cares about humans and he definitely cares about Quinn. Their meet-cute was kind of hilarious and the laughs just kept coming. They made a perfect couple but the road is not totally paved and smoothed. Quinn has trust issues and on her own at a couples resort. Hawke is just trying to escape (his mother is quite a piece of work). Hawke gets to work on his will power and self-control while Quinn sticks to her guns and keeps him at bay. Her scantily-clothed body doesn't help Hawke's predicament one iota, LOL!
This story is unpredictable and breaks your heart along the way. Quinn has some over-protective brothers who should maybe tone it down a bit but they sure make for a good story. This romance takes it's time to come about and I wasn't quite sure how I felt about Hawke most of the time, but this is still an awesome Christmas story that made me miss the heat, the sun, and the sand.

Hawke & Quinn’s Electricity Is Palpable! Their Story Is Deep And Personal.
This is the first book in the Billionaire Boys Club series. This is Hawke Sterling and Quinn Hayes’s story. For fans, there is a very slight crossover with the Guardian Hostage Rescue series. The story takes place in the Atlanta area as well as a tropical island paradise. It opens on December twenty-one.
Hawke Sterling, roughly twenty-seven, is CEO of the billionaire-dollar Sterling Enterprises and has been on all the Most Eligible Bachelor lists around. He lives by three rules: he initiates, he takes, and he walks away. The women in his entanglements know this from the get-go, so there are never any emotional entanglements. In exchange he treats them well for a time and they get the advantage of being seen on his arm. A win-win. They use each other in a mutually beneficial way. He understands rules. He was raised on strict rules by a cold and loveless mother who happens to be the only woman capable of pulling his strings. Since his father’s death her control over the estate has been used as a tool to make miserable. As the Christmas holiday approaches, he retreats to Euphoria, the successful couples’ retreat that he personally co-owns with some friends.
Quinn Hayes, twenty-five, has always played it safe. Always a nerd, she has never understood people. She hates crowds. She hates people, who often behave in unexpected ways. She has spent the last two years pouring her heart into developing an application that will revolutionize Alzheimer’s and dementia treatment. She started MindScapeVR along with her boyfriend Scott Aiken, who manages the business side of the company, and they are finally on the precipice of success. Their first company Christmas party is a celebration of that, as they anticipate being awarded the ten million dollars in venture capital needed to bring the product to market on the first of the year. But a surprise marriage proposal doesn’t bring the joy Quinn had anticipated. She longs for romance and passion, which is missing in her relationship with Scott. Men seem to be intimidated by her, but she longs for a man that will take charge. Nevertheless, Scott is her rock and she has no doubt about their future happiness until she finds him with her best friend Sadie in a very compromising situation.
Quinn decides to go alone on the vacation get-away that Scott had planned for them to celebrate their engagement together. She needs some time and space, and is not ready to face her family over the holidays. When Hawke Sterling steps into her life, she doesn’t trust his motives. She has done nothing to encourage his attention, and is certainly out of his league, but still he persists in trying to win her over. He is nothing but honest about what he has to offer, and she wonders if having a short holiday fling might be just the thing needed to help her get past her heartache. Hawke finds himself breaking all his rules with Quinn, but he cannot seem to stop himself. Everything about Quinn is different. In a few short days, the pair spends time enjoying all Euphoria has to offer while growing closer together. Their connection is electric, and neither can let that go. But as reality sets in they finds themselves pulled in different directions, and any errant thoughts of a future together fall to the wayside as they face their real-life struggles.
Wow! Hawke and Quinn’s electricity is palpable. Their story is deep and personal. Hawke is everything that Quinn has been missing, and Quinn fills a void that Hawke hadn’t realized existed in his life. She thinks in terms of logic, while follows his gut instincts. Although slow to admit it, Hawke knows something real is there, but Quinn is hesitant to turn over her control to a man after failing so completely to see all the red flags that should have warned her about Scott. Their story is somewhat of a slow burn, and the plot takes over later in the book to make an angsty read. It makes for a perfect holiday read, and makes for a promising start to a new series. The couple eventually earns a happy for now ending.
A few issues merit mention. *Spoilers* First, there are a couple spots where the timeline doesn’t add up, but it is a minor problem. There is also a bit of repetitiveness earlier in the story, but once the plot thickens that disappears. The ending is a little abrupt, but hopefully hints of Hawke and Quinn’s happily ever after will come in subsequent books in the series. Still, there are a number of very loose ends that never get addressed.
Hawke and Quinn’s angsty romance is absorbing and real. Their story is nicely written. The plot is simple for a large portion of the story, but later on it thickens. The characters are nicely developed and feel three dimensional. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Hawke and Quinn. I rate this book four stars.

“With you by my side, I’m not afraid of anything.” – Quinn
Quinn Hayes has it all… Or thinks she does. Socially inept but technologically brilliant, Quinn couldn’t believe it when Scott proposed. Finally, she would have it all… Until she doesn’t…
“My disregard for emotional entanglement is not a flaw. It is, instead, my greatest strength.”- Hawke
Hawke Sterling is jaded; he knows women want to use him as a pathway to the Sterling fortune. His mother has always held him at fault for his twin’s condition. Sterling swore to never be fooled by a female. The constant battle with his emotionally distant mother has taken its toll.
Emotionally devastated and heartsore, Quinn takes the trip that was to be her honeymoon… to Euphoria. There she can escape the shattered chaos that is her life, at least for a few days….
A unique and breathtaking tale, Hawke and Quinn ignite the pages with lust, desire and love! Two broken people, damaged by life, come together to discover the true meaning of life.

Quinn has been betrayed by her best friend and her fiancé. This is the shortest engagement that I've ever read. She is a "thinker" and a really smart woman, but oh so awkward in all social situations. She runs to the beautiful Euphoria resort in the Caribbean to escape all the pressure. Enter, Hawke Sterling, "a peacock on parade", he's a bang them and leave them kind of guy, but he gets caught up in taking care of Quinn. There's something about her that keeps calling to him. Bets are made and things are said, he's leaving the initiating up to Quinn, but he will follow through. She's not sure what he means until he says the hottest thing to her. It's a very quick connection, but until they dance, they don't follow through on it, but in the end, someone runs away and from there on in, it makes you smile. The brother's are absolutely hilarious and their standoff with Hawke if earth shattering "Your sister belongs to me now".
Monster-In-Law - that's a good word to describe his mother. I was so tense every time she was in a chapter.

Starts with a Bang and Holds you Breathless!!
Quinn is the tech side of a start-up company. Her engagement lasts about an hour as her fiancée and best friends are caught in “the act”. Despite her fear of flying she takes “their” tickets to the Euphoria resort to lick her wounds.
Hawke is part owner of Euphoria and CEO of the Sterling company. His imperious mother is pressuring him to marry. Escaping to his resort he ends up seated next to the scared and inebriated Quinn. He is intrigued. Most women fawn over him, and she is keeping her distance.
A wonderful journey as he works to gain her trust and attention. She knows he is not a long-term option and calls him on many of his beliefs and practices.
Bets, dancing and a kiss are the start of something much bigger. “I hope someday, you find the right woman who sees the real you. Who falls madly, and desperately, in love with you. When that happens, you’ll understand what ‘more’ means, and why everything that came before was achingly empty”.
I loved every moment of this story – even the tough ones. Because nothing worth having come easy. Pure entertainment. I read this robust story in just about 24 hours. Completely spell-binding!!

A Christmas in Paradise was a fantastic, steamy little treat, perfect to get the festive season underway.
Hawke Sterling is one gift I wouldn't mind unwrapping for Christmas.
Hawke and Quinn's story is festive, flirty and fun. From their first encounter that I'd like to think of as fate there was no denying their connection.
I loved how they met and Hawke took on the roll of Knight in shining armour as he helped a rather frazzled Quinn in her hour of need.
I really enjoyed reading this story it had a perfect mix of steam, dirty talking, witty humour and romance that Ellie Masters always delivers with her stories.
If you're after a steamy read to warm you up on a cold winters night then you need this book.
I'm looking forward to reading some other stories in this collection.

This is book one in The Billionaire Boys Club Series and it is Quinn and Hawke's story. Quinn is devastated by the betrayal of the two people close to her so she escapes to Euthoria to try and get her life back on track. Hawke has everything that he could ever want and he doesn't do commitment of love. Quinn and Hawke have instant chemistry but with both of them so jaded will they get a happy ending or heartbreak. This is the first book that I have read by Ellie Masters and I definitely look forward to reading more of her books as it was so well written and definitely worth reading.

Once I started this book I could not put it down until I was finished. Quinn and Hawke are two characters that you are drawn to from the very beginning. Quinn because of her strength despite everything going on around her, and Hawke, well because he is Hawke - a good looking billionaire that goes after what he wants. Now throw in their individual story lines that cross paths at the exclusive couples resort, makes for some fun banter and very sexy scenes between these two. But everything is not as it seems and there are a few twists in this story and the author does a good job at keeping us wanting to turn the pages to find out what happens next.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Quinn knows betrayal and heartache. When she gets the chance to escape she finds herself in a tropical paradise. Hawke cannot understand why he is so drawn to Quinn. She has so much to get past and he does not realize how much he needs her. They might have to give a lot to receive love. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline.

Phew let me go get a cold shower this one is scorching hot and there was no way I was putting it down once i got started. Right at the start your heart goes out to Quinn, and those first few chapters when she meets Hawke had me giggling. You very quickly see the chemistry between the pair is absolutely off the charts, and as for "Dirty Dancing" with Hawke - where do I sign up? Brilliantly written, page turner.

HAWKE: Christmas in Paradise by Ellie Masters. This book is a great escape that will get you into the holiday spirit. Hawke was not what I expected! He surprised me at every turn and Quinn was so sweet and the nerdy beauty and their first encounter was electric! They were perfect without even realizing it! The alpha male bringing out the fantasies and realities of a quiet soul! I felt the emotions from them both and fell in love with this story!

Hawke and Quinn have a couple false starts, and the tension and intensity is off the charts hot. I couldn't put the book down. I really wanted to see the face off with the wicked witch, and see her realize she didn't win, but it was still an amazing story!

What do you do when you are utterly betrayed within hours of being blissfully happy? Why escape to paradise and try to forget for at least a little while, of course.
Ellie Masters always, always gives us characters who are complex, intelligent, fascinating and often times controversial, Hawke Sterling freely admits he loves money, making money and spending money. He's a one and done kinda guy when it comes to his dalliances. Quinn Hayes is quiet, introverted and a definite geek. She is completely unaware of her beauty and allure. Their brief encounter in paradise becomes something more for both of them but is stopped dead in its tracks by Hawke's abhorrently cruel and manipulative mother. She forces him to make a devastating decision or else. Dare he defy her?

Quinn was a brilliant computer nerd who was on the cusp of getting her dream of a program to help Alzheimer's and Dementia patients retain more of their cognitive abilities. She was in a partnership with her boyfriend Scott and rumor had it that he was going to propose...and he did at the Christmas party of their fledgling company...but then after forgetting her keys, she returns to office, to see his office lights on, so was going to tell him goodnight, opens door to see her new fiancé and her best friend Sadie having sex...so she leaves. Scott had bought a 10-day package at a tropical resort as a surprise for Quinn, and after a little thought, decided she would go by herself, cancelled his plane ticket, upgraded hers to first class...but she was terrified of flying, so bought cold medicine and small alcohol bottles to steel her for the trip...but the airport gift shop didn't take credit cards, only cash, so the man behind her paid for his water and her items also...she got onto flying coffin, took aisle seat, even though she had window seat, drank the Champaign, swilled some of cold medicine, and after the same man who bought her items was seated next to her...they took off...but he helped her with takeoff and she fell asleep kind of dreaming of the man next to her, Hawke...but on waking up re-dosed herself with more cold medicine and wine, passing out again...after landing, Hawke just couldn't leave her on plane, semi-conscious...so he got her to his resort...as he was part-owner of Euphoria, the couples resort Scott had booked them into...Hawke was having issues with his mother, the family matriarch of the Sterling family who was insisting that if he wanted to run the family businesses, he needed to marry and provide an heir...even though he had no plans on settling down, being a love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy...but for some reason, the sexy programmer Quinn got under his skin. He was not recommending the proposal of her company for the Sterling Venture Capital branch as her company business plan was horrible, however the program was revolutionary so he was looking closer at her proposal for funding...but you will need to read this twisting story to see if love triumphs over the stone-cold heart of his mother...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Quinn Hayes seemed to have it all days before Christmas. Her longtime boyfriend and business partner proposes at their holiday party. She has developed a cutting edge virtual reality program and is on the cusp of getting the financing needed to move forward with the development. Hours after the proposal her world is shattered when she catches her new finance and her best friend in a compromising position in the office where they all work. Not wanting to think about what she walked in on, nor does she want to face her family and admit they type of person her boyfriend and best friend really were, Quinn decides to take advantage of a planned trip to a tropical resort called Euphoria. There's only one problem - getting there requires getting on a plane and Quinn is terrified of flying.
Hawke Sterling is the CEO of a venture capital company who finds himself at the mercy of his controlling and overbearing mother. She relishes in manipulating his feelings for his twin sister who, following a childhood accident has become mentally handicapped and requires special care. Hawke is the co-owner of Euphoria and is also looking to get away from his mother for the holidays. A chance encounter in the airport gift shop where Quinn is stocking up on cold medicine and alcohol to try and numb the fear of flying that then finds them seat mates on the plane is only beginning of the story of Hawke and Quinn.
Once at Euphoria, Hawke discovers that Quinn's company has applied for funding from Hawke's company and although he wants to spend more time with the beautiful woman he is leery of her intentions. Quinn has no idea who Hawke is, only that he is handsome and helped her inebriated self get to the resort after over-doing it on the plane. The time that the two of them spend together at Euphoria is the basis for their relationship and the development of feelings that neither expected to have.
Returning to reality brings to a sudden halt what started in paradise when Quinn discovers who Hawke really is and Hawke's mother takes manipulation to a whole new level demanding that relationship ends. This is a HEA but is not without challenges.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and I'm leaving this review voluntarily. I loved this book and it is a nice escape from everything happening in the world today.
