Una muestra muy interesante de cuentistas centroamericanos, casi una hoja de ruta para profundizar en muchos autores conocidos en sus países pero no muy conocidos en el resto de Centroamérica. Hay cuentos excelentes y los comentarios del recopilador ilustran sobre el contexto del cuento, sobre las influencias del autor y mucho más.
