Nothing spectacular, but better than I expected. The story was vastly different from what I remember of the comic books I read 20 years ago. Apparently the Micronauts timeline has been reset/rebooted by the Time Traveler (because what is the point of having the character if he never changes the past). Young Ryan Archer has vivid dreams of the Travler, but he is unsure at first why. He comes to believe that the small aliens(called Micronauts) that recently emerged from the rift in space are not what they seem, especially when some tourists go missing. Archer believes that he is supposed to "fix" the timeline, but first he must save himself from those wanting to keep him quiet.

I’ve had this series in my bookcase for years and finally decided to read them. They’re for YA readers, but I’ll read science fiction written for any age. It’s about a young man named Ryan Archer, who’s father is a scientist. They don't always get along. The town they live in, Angel’s Gift, has been taken over by aliens, some of whom are harvesting human body parts. They’ve come through a rift in the wall between dimensions. Ryan has long felt like he lived another life somewhere else and knew someone named The Time Traveler. Ryan feels like the only thing he can do to save everyone is to go through the rift and try to find the The Time Traveler and set back time. I liked it enough to continue on with the rest of the trilogy.
