Like most people, I received this as a textbook in college. I found it a very good book and enjoyed reading it, and my education was certainly enriched by it. It was easy to read (wasn't numbingly dry like some textbooks) and I feel I learned a lot from it.
I had to study this book while attending online college and I must say it was a power punch to the mental dome. I think they should include readings like this book in schools. You will get so much out of it as well as applying it to life in general.
This college level text considers a variety of perspectives inviting its reader to think in greater depth about questions concerning the nature of ethics and the nature and existence of free will and morality. Are there absolute truths? Maybe.
A good brief overview of ethics. There are some topics that should have been covered more, but it gives a good general overview and offers many excerpts from primary philosophical texts.
