Not a book that has aged well (copyright 1990) - the author spent an inordinate amount of time discussing how to get various effects using photocopiers...
This is one of those books that I almost wish I could re-discover, so I could enjoy getting excited by it all over again. I usually have to think about buying a book, especially one new off the shelf at full price. I am glad I decided to buy this when I first saw it.
I have used it for reference in artwork projects at home as well as in higher-end projects for art classes and always find something new. Techniques described in the book range from simple to high-tech, so there is something for most circumstances. Great illustrations accompany the text as well.
The book contains a wealth of beautiful articulated examples of all manner of collage art. The original book was produced in 1990 and this edition was published in the USA in 1995, consequently, it provides readers with information on techniques and processes which are not readily available in more current publications. The artist's works elevate this slim volume and inspire this reader to move to greater heights. I have also enjoyed visiting the online work of the artists represented in this book.
