There is one skill that separates a leader from all others. Do you have it?
As a leader, "the most significant role you can play is that of ""coach".""
As a coach to some of the country's highest-profile executives, Daniel Harkavy has witnessed the transformation--both professional and personal--that comes when leaders utilize coaching to turn their paycheck-driven teams into vibrant and successful growth cultures. Since founding his company in 1996, Harkavy and his team have coached thousands and shared their knowledge by certifying Coaching Leaders across the country. Now he is sharing his proven strategy with you.
Why become a Coaching Leader? Coaching makes developing people a high-payoff activity. It allows you to equip tomorrow's leaders today. And it gives you the ability to improve performance while raising the quality of life inside and outside of the office. Your legacy as a leader will begin when you take your first steps toward becoming a Coaching Leader.
This is another book recommended by my leaders. I really did enjoy this book, a lot of great Nuggets to take away from this to be applied in my life business and career.
On my personal level, it’s a wonderful book. It prepares you how to become a great leader who put other people interest first before your own. To have a sense of fulfillment in everything a leader does. Have the strong why about things we do so we can enjoy it. I also liked the way, the book walk you through the planning process. Vision, Mission and Core value statements and determination of timeline and deadlines of action plans. I watched the movie quoted in the book: “ Miracle “. Very inspiring book for sure

Outstanding and easy for application. This book was a great read and focused study time. I took the life plan template, create personal values and focused my activities more effectively. I specifically liked the idea of creating accounts for the people most important to my life and realizing that we focus on things that "no one will remember 10 years from now" or even when we are deceased. I will keep this book near for reference and have already recommended to others...
This book is a great read for all leaders. It shifted my thinking and now I behave differently which is why we read books like this in the first place. I took a lot of notes on this one and can highly recommend it to any leader or self-help junky!
I think this book van be tremendous help to anyone in leadership or management. There are excellent, real-world & practical tips throughout the book that would assist anyone in a position of influencing the direction of a team or organization.
Despite the numerous testimonials, the main thing lacking is a clear case study on just how all this translates into ROI. The soft or human benefits are compelling, and I intend to use many of the ideas mentioned in the book. At the end of the day, however, the bottom line is pretty much ignored in the book, despite many assertions that all this leads the way to to stellar performance and record returns.
This is a great book to read at the beginning of the year. This is a great book about how to develop your life plan, your business plan and vision and then how to get there. If you need to do some planning or get organized this is a fabulous book. Helped me to grow as a leader big time. After reading this I started meeting with a coach to help me stay on track.
Although some of the strategies were for someone a little above my station at work (ie, a more executive level), there were several things which I could realistically implement now to improve (hopefully) performance from both myself and my team members.
Awesome book to read and reflect on my own leadership development and the role I play in the leadership development of others. Coaching others doesn't happen automatically - I must be intentional.
