I was a little sick of rhymes because this week, from January 11 to 16, I read almost two rhyme books, which include 50 songs and about 30 songs each. So when I started reading, I was very bored about this, third one. It was, however, was very soft and nice book. Especially while listening to the audiobook, I almost felt like I became a child. It made me calm while reading. I loved it.
After reading, I read two reviews about this book, and I agree with one of them. It must be good for kids who are expecting new siblings. Very delicate and exquisite contents, from beginning to the end. Highly recommendable.

This book was filled with different types of rhymes and/or songs. It has a table of contents at the front, which says to me that it’s not meant to be read all at once. This book is meant to be read (or sung) to infant or early toddler-aged children. I think that it’s great because it allows the caregiver to add their own tune to the words if they should choose to sing it to the baby. I feel that this would allow a better connection between caregiver and child. The pictures are very well-drawn and there is a lot of color usage.

Welcome, Baby is a book of rhymes for baby times. The book of poems are great for young children and children who are expecting a younger sibling. I used one poem for my family poem, which is called morning walk. It is about a traditional family and the father takes his some out to get breakfast and flowers for mommy. I would use this in a young classroom, maybe Preschool.

This book works well in baby storytimes, or infant lapsit programs.
