A Concise Hebrew and Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament (Eerdmans Language Resources

Rate this book
Based on the First, Second, and Third Editions of the Koehler-Baumgartner  Lexicon in Veteris Testamenti Libros , this abridgment--which eliminates bibliographical references and technical information intended for specialists and judiciously trims biblical citations--provides everything the student needs to translate an Old Testament passage.

It's just a really good lexicon, though at times frustrating because quite often I felt like why isn't this word here?!?!?! But I just couldn't find it. This book helped me through all three semesters of Hebrew and I would've been lost without it. It is also a good tool to continue to refer to when trying to read Hebrew or do a word study. I like the BDB more and suggest that, but this is simpler and thinner. The BDB is a massive book.

As the title says, it a concise lexicon. Each definition contains about a sentence or two of explanation.
