Creating a Habitat for Humanity: No Hands But Yours

Rate this book
Intended primarily for use in congregations and by general readers who are interested in the issue of affordable housing and homelessness, Reckford tells the story of how Habitat has touched the lives of people around the world and is transforming not only those receiving housing but those who participate as builders. The final chapter helps individuals and groups take a "justice, mercy, and humility" self-check and lays out a list of action suggestions. Includes an online small group Leader's Guide and participant Study Guide.

Habitat For Humanity's ongoing fight for justice and affordable housing as a right is one of the most tangible ways of practically living out Jesus' teachings I see at a visible local level (so is Elijah's Promise in New Brunswick). Visit your local ReStore (my dad loved to do this), volunteer for a build, they are doing the work. ♥️
