This book was more of a mixed media focus than I realized... more realistic demos than abstract but still idea worthy for creative explorations.

Extreme Book Nerd Challenge 2022
Challenge Topic: How-to on a hobby you have or would like to have.

I am addicted to adult coloring. Colored Pencils are my medium of choice.
This book was good in the respect that the lessons were detailed and, at least on the colored pencil ones, the pictures came out looking amazing. However, this book focused on mising pencils with other mediums, which I don't have, and so it wasn't as helpful to me as I would have liked. I did read through each section and there are some mediums that I may try in the future, but for now, I am just going to stick with colored pencils.

If you're a beginner and interested in various mediums, and don't know where to start, this book gives you lesson in many different ones. This is a great book to help you find the ones you enjoy the most.
It gives you a lesson in acrylic, pastel, ink, and several more while giving you easy tips that could help any artist. The only two mediums that it overlooks are chalk and markers, otherwise it would have touched on every medium I'm interested in and more.

I have actually done a few if these projects in the book. I bought it years ago but just joined this site not long ago. Anyway, this book is very good at teaching you fundamentals, mixed media with colored pencils etc... I love the techniques they teach in this book. Step by step instructions that are clear. Hands down one of my favorites. I will never be parting with this book.
