Arthur Wilson "Bob" Tucker was an American mystery, action adventure, and science fiction writer, who wrote as Wilson Tucker.
He was also a prominent member of science fiction fandom, who wrote extensively for fanzines under the name Bob Tucker, a family nickname bestowed in childhood.
Not a name I had heard before, and I can't say I'm too surprised. The stories are fine if unexceptional. There's a lot of slightly cringy obsession with the atractiveness of every female character, even when Tucker is trying to make them strong. If I had read this decades ago, it might have impressed me, and it may just be a reflection of how much SF and specualtive fiction I've read, but none of these stories really stood out for me in terms of ideas, and certainly not in terms of characters. It's all pretty middle-of-the-road.
