This is a book for spiritual directors either to be used in formation or in ongoing Peer Supervision as a book study. A group of authors with decades of experience in spiritual formation and training, helped design this book full of wisdom exploring the call to spiritual direction as a sacred task. A diverse list of topics include: prayer, sexuality, young adults, gender issues, direction for the 21st century, movements of God, contemplative listening, development and transition, ethics, psychology, stages in the adult spiritual journey, wisdom of the body, dynamics of practicums, human experience of God, theory and practice, dual relationships, practice across traditions, formation for the margins, friends of God and Prophets.

Not my favorite Spiritual direction book. I read it over 9 months and discussed it in a once a month book club.
