Very good read - informative about history in the middle east, northern Africa, Turkey - setting the stage for the woes of today. Clinton and Obama's strategy of allowing, encouraging countries to make their OWN decisions and encouraging other nations to step up, not rely solely on the US - we give aid, we are perceived as seeking world dominance - we hold back and we are perceived as not caring - a no win situation. My esteem for Secretary Clinton increased - as the Lebanese reporter who writes this memoir discusses Clinton's style of engaging the civilians of the nations she visited, often spending much more than her scheduled time to answer questions and listen to concerns. The author's premise questions is based on her experience growing up in Lebanon during war and her perceptions of US involvement. In the course of the four years traveling with SEcretary Clinton she comes to see a larger world picture and the delicate balancing act in which the US is continually involved.

The reason why I picked this book was because HIllary Rodham Clinton attended the high school that I attended. As such, I would like to know more about her. This book is very interesting, as it contains a lot of Hillary Clinton's accomplishments. It is also very easy to read. After I found this book, I searched further about the author. I found out that this author published another book about HIllary in 2009.

This was an okay book. It was a children's book so didn't go into as much detail of what went on in her life as the wife of the President who lied to her and cheated on her. It was written by someone who liked her and was written from a perspective to make her look good even as a teenager.
