The information contained in this book appears to be accurate and is interesting and useful. I appreciate the many pictures too, because it adds more interest to the book. However, the font is so tiny that I couldn't stand reading this book anymore than a few minutes at a time. BAD design, but great material!

such an interesting read on a diverse range of subjects relating to witchcraft and magick, I have been a witch since I was twelve and I still learned a lot. Really loved it, although the font was incredibly small, i would say that was the only downside!! ♡

I enjoyed looking through this again. Read some parts, skimmed others. Fun to look through.

OK, to be fair, I mostly skimmed this one. It's really thick! I think "encyclopedia" is only accurate to describe this book insofar as it is comprehensive. However, it is certainly not organized like an encyclopedia. Rather, it is more of a history and geography of witchcraft than an encyclopedia. The last sections, which deal with the modern practice of witchcraft, is full of basic how-to information and really cheesy photographs. I have a feeling this book would have felt like the end-all-be-all to me as a child (I would have read it cover-to-cover), but as a grown-up, I can't see how this book would fit into my own growing library of Craft books.
