Long winded and boring, this book attempts to outlines every detail of clinical practice as a companion to the lecture format. Not only is this something which is incredibly difficult to do, it is pointless because there is much more to Clinical Practice than what a textbook can teach you. Although it is supposed to be an all encompassing approach to Clinical Psychology, the textbook would be better broken down into (at the very least) Assessment, Intervention, and a brief Introduction which would include research methods, ethics etc.
School requirement, but still a good read. Interesting to note: a lot of therapists are not following empirically proven methods when they are counselling people...BEWARE OF THE THERAPIST THAT DOESN'T TEST YOU BEFORE THEY "CURE" YOU.
