An excellent resource for those who want to understand what the Bible says about the spiritual realm (angels, devils) and the battle for our souls. Easy to read and understand, but very comprehensive.

Tony Evans is one of the few preachers I will read several of his books. His style is easy to understand, not over your head. This is part of his Understanding God Series, which I found at a thrift store.
Evans describes what spiritual warfare is, the cause of it and how Christians can battle it. He discusses the types of angels and their role in the Bible, along with demons. He also tells how Christians can overcome strongholds in their lives as well.
The book is a little long at 362 pages, but easy to read in the way each section is separated into 4 chapters in each section. The text is big enough and spread out into sections so the reader can be able to read a chapter a day or even a few sections a day and soak in the information as a devotional if the reader feels the need to, which is what I did. I like Evan's books and recommend them to others, especially with his great illustrations (not drawings) to help understand (and most of them made me laugh)

This book should be required reading for every Christian. I don't think the church talks enough about spiritual warfare. Dr. Tony Evans isn't afraid to get uncomfortable, and to tell us what we need to hear. This book is so accessible, practical, and challenges us as Christians to pray without ceasing, and pray like our lives depend on it--because prayer is the most powerful weapon we have against Satan!

I really enjoyed the book and I learned quite a bit. Tony made a lot of things simpler to understand and there by easier to put into practice.

I read this book at 19 and it was life-changing. I knew nothing about spiritual warfare at the time, so this was an eye-opening read that prepared me for the years to come.

This is one of my favorite books on Spiritual warfare! He outlines for us the battle itself and our preparation for it. His newer book Victory in Spiritual Warfare just did not work for me.
