Twice Under the Sun

Rate this book
Twice Under the Sun is a cross-section of Russian poet Anna Glazova's lyrical texts from the last seven years. The translations have been completed by Anna Khasin in collaboration with the author, and something as close to restless understanding with her as such a relationship permits.

This feels like a phenomenally odd book. Some parts precious, others intimate, and others yet spectacular.

"apples, a couple, are hanging
among a split wall.
nowhere to fall: the weight is gone
into the heart of the cliff.
the wilding is tearing
away at the rot in the crack,
both branches bent in the sound.

if the inside of the fog is soft,
let's fall there."
