What a fun book to read, especially if you have a cat that's so much like the one in the book. They always say that a cat has 9 lives; there are 9 chapters in the book, "The 9-Life Recovery Program". The cat is explaining, while we are referred to as "The Higher Power". Topics include things like; "Napaholism", "Fear When the Higher Power Leaves for the Weekend and You Are All Alone", "Furballs", "Catnip Dependency", "The Cat Carrier", "Predators: Vacuum Cleaners", "Waiting For Better Food", and "Eating Houseplants". These are just a few of the very true things that cats do and you react to. An entertaining read...especially if you own a cat.

An interesting self-help book for cats that catch their attitudes, their quirks and their charming-yet-so-wild personalities. This book explores all the problems that present themselves in their small kitty lives and how to better oneself for life with the humans who share the house with them. At the same time it also provides mantras to recite for better health and helpful suggestions to release stress.

Another part of the book that wasn't so heavily abundant were the simple illustrations. The cats used to illustrate the points were quite charmingly cute while adding a bit more comic relief to the storyline as they showed off the a skeleton cat dead from hunger, a cat drinking from the toilet and one of my favorites the cat with cymbals in its paws to wake its sleeping owner between so many others.

This book will resonate with cat-lovers all around as they take a moment to dive into the stressful world of felinehood and what it means to be a cat....
