Very dry writing; purported to be a documentation of alleged factual events. The "haunting" was observed by a great many people who claimed (long after the fact) that they had seen, heard, or suspected that something fishy was going on. I think you could take just about any local "legend" and find just as many people who will swear they have a friend who knew somebody whose cousin, blah, blah, blah. I would recommend this only to people who might be researching the subject for a school paper, or people who have trouble falling asleep.
