Montreal and Quebec City are filled with history and culture. This includes world-class museums, art galleries, historic churches, châteaux, landscaped parks, and year-round festivals.

The book includes detailed descriptions of Parc du Mont-Royal, Basilique Notre-Dame, Parc Olympique, Musée Pointe-à-Callière, Musée des Beaux-Arts de Montréal, La Citadelle, Musée de la Civilisation de Québec, Basilique Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, Île d’Orléans and Les Laurentides.

This book includes information on family activities which I will definitely use in our exploration of these two cities.

The book also has a pull-out map and neighborhood maps to help you navigate these cities.

Great resource for traveling a city! Loved having a map and recommendations in my back pocket as we meandered a new place. Cities are dynamic so the version I had was from 2017, but the basics were all there. Would recommend.

The Top 10 highlights give an overview of the main attractions. Then there is a specific top 10, for example, museums and art galleries etc. I love the Around Town section which breaks down the city by area giving you a little map with what DK view as the top 10 sights to consider visiting.

Walking exploration tour options give ideas to people who want to semi-plan/meander around. The guidebook does let you know what websites to visit for more information, but on the whole this is about travelling independently - from choosing a flight company to getting a bus.

DK doesn't try to be trendy, instead it is accessible to everyone with a spirit of adventure.

Good as a source of inspiration. But not comprehensive enough to be a "stand-alone" travel guide.

It got us to where we wanted, and it gave us ideas of places to visit! What more do you need from a travel guide?

Not as much information as I had hoped. There should have been more talk about the underground city and its passageways.
