A comprehensive volume of not only art, but with some mention of literature, movies, theatre and music from 1900 until the 1970s. The book was filled with thousands of small articles about art events, biographical data on artists, and writings by the artists themselves. There were only small reproductions, no full page color plates.

My favorite art book ever. I particularly love the newspaper articles and the format. Very unique and interesting.
