As for depth of information, this book is nothing spectacular. However, it could be a good one to give your college bound teenager as a reference guide. The format is quite compact and easy to handle. This book will provide enough information to a prospective college student to give him idea what it takes to get admitted but will not likely to overwhelm him. I hope there will be an update to a currently latest 3rd edition of 2013 by the time my kids will be looking to be admitted.

I checked for updated version in 2020 and none is available. Will pass on getting this one for my home library as it seems pretty outdated.

This little book was extremely helpful, and provided a lot of good resources. The only downside was that it was in need of an update. For example, an entire section was dedicated to deciding on whether or not to get a cell phone or dorm room landline. Times have changed a little since the publishing date. otherwise, a good resource.
