Contains extracts from the nine discursive books Jilly Cooper has written over the past two decades alongside her successful novels. The selection has been chosen by Jilly Cooper herself, and includes an introduction which provides insights into her own particular brand of satire and humour.
Dame Jilly Cooper, OBE (born February 21, 1937) was an English author. She started her career as a journalist and wrote numerous works of non-fiction before writing several romance novels, the first of which appeared in 1975. She was most famous for writing the six blockbuster novels the Rutshire Chronicles.
A hodgepodge of columns and diaries and book excerpts. Jilly herself caveats the quality of some bits but even where it wobbles it is still very good comfort reading.
