From award-winning author CB Samet comes a sizzling romantic suspense novella.
**If you like action, adventure, and strong female leads, this is the series for you. The romance is medium with heat with some explicit language. Each novel shares characters, but they are also their own stand-alone happily-ever-after. This novella can be read in any order in the series.
I enjoy writing and reading action/adventure, thrillers, romantic suspense, and fantasy.
I grew up reading Tom Clancy, Michael Crichton, and the Bourne books. I write seeking to create that level of action and intrigue but with female heroines. The love the quote, ‘She needed a hero. So she became one.’ My novels have empowered women overcoming powerful obstacles and the strong men who support them.
This story has a lot of danger, suspence, and a little romance, keeps you turning the pages to see what happens next until the end, looking forward to reading more books from this author
Except for the lack of spices in the bedroom, I really enjoyed this story. Strong alpha male meets even stronger female and they share an instant attraction. Background characters are never really developed, but the two MC's characters are good enough to understand what drives them. There's a nice amount of suspense with a touch of violence and action.
The narrator is AWFUL. He talks waaaay too fast. Doesn’t pausest the end of a sentence. I tried to change the settings to slow it down even .1 and it distorts the whole sound. Honestly, the author would be better off narrating it themselves or removing the narration all together because it’s just that bad.
A firefighter meets a doctor and it's an instant connection. I liked their relationship, they were open about their attraction to the other. This is a romantic suspense book, but there wasn't much suspense. I would have liked a longer story. I recommend this book to readers of romance books.
i love a lil fire fighter action and this def scratched the itch. v evan buckley coded and could’ve easily been an episode of 911 when i closed my eyes. loved the book but hated the guy who voiced it bc it sounded like i was listening to a 2 hr commercial break. his pacing was good but his tone was something else lemme tell ya
I couldn't resist reading about firefighter Rick when I too have my own firefighter Rick. I was a little nervous going into it but I think the author did a great job, and although it's not something I typically read I found it to be enjoyable.
