This is a solid 4.5 (hint hint good reads, I want to be able to give half stars) This book was written by an elementary school librarian. It is perfect for teaching Non-Fiction classification I have tried to get better at knowing my Dewey decimal system and this book is a great way to remember. It is simple and easy and I might read it again just to better acquaint myself with it. It gives fun ways to remember what each number means! I might use it for school tours, or scout tours to talk about the numbers. Maybe just start with 100s to keep it simple. GOOD ONE!@

This is a great book to support the organization of the non-fiction section of the library. I use this book with my 1st and 2nd graders prior to going into the non-fiction section for check-out.

Good story, and would be ideal to use for introducing the Dewey Decimal System to elementary students. Recommend.

I use it as an introduction to the Dewey Decimal System with the 3rd grade. May become dated with references to Gameboy and Bmx bicycling.
Marion teaches Willis about the sections of the library.

This book would be perfect if the language wasn't so awkward for a read aloud. The concept is great, the verb tenses not always the same nor does it have language that just flows.
