The first comprehensive book on Karuna Reiki, an evolutionary healing technique that is sweeping the Reiki community worldwide. Written for those intrigued by complementary or alternative healing. An inspirational, educational, book with techniques, meditations, symbol information, and anectdotal healing experiences
I read this book in 2011, and picked it back up after completing the Karuna Reiki Master course earlier this month. The context is much different than my first reading and it's a valuable resource. It's one of the only books on this healing available. Karuna is a registered trademark.
This caught my eye in the library and so I borrowed it and picked it up between 'main' fiction book reading. On the exact day of commencing reading, coincidentally - or not? - I just happened to spot on Facebook a reiki course local to me which I may well take part in. So that factor gave me an added interest whilst reading. I do find the idea behind specific crystals very interesting, and look forward to reading this again, exploring the subject as a whole, further, and to hopefully take part in a course.
This is a good book. It omits the symbols and I added my own notes on symbols. I like the recommendations for different issues and do think it is a good book to sit with and do the work.
Enjoyed the new perspective on energy work & reiki and thrilled to be able to learn something new regardless of how long I've been practicing Reiki. Karuna has allowed me to venture into new depths of healing both with myself and others.
I keep this as a reference manual, though I pull it out and re-read it every few years. If you are interested in energy healing, metaphysical topics, it is an easy read and perhaps worth your time.
