This is a really cool little book. It's only about 30 pages and my daughter loves it. After reading it a handful of times she already recognized some of the words. The rhyming had a lot to do with that also. It's like a 'One, two, one pink shoe!' type thing - and very easy for the kids to follow along. I don't have any problem with Barbie myself (unlike those hooker ass Bratz dolls which my daughter owns NOTHING of) but I have to be clear here - she's really not a one man woman like my generation was brought up to believe. Not if this book is any look inside Barbie's "life". Our girl meets up with Ken, rolls out for a few, acting sentimental and all that, then meets some more dudes (Kevin and his boys) at the mall and rolls out with them. As far as I could see then her fast little ass was with her girls in a pool with two more fellas. But... Julia wasn't concerned at all with Barbie's fast ways - she was obsessed with the fact that Barbie has a pair of pink high heels and she doesn't. :D
