Yan, a vulnerable young man doing time for his older brother, finds himself in danger. In desperation, he attempts to solicit the protection of the only person tough enough to keep him alive: an ex-gang leader who expects to be paid for his services.

I write not only for my own pleasure, but for the pleasure of my readers. I can’t remember a time in my life when I haven’t written and told stories. When I’m not writing, I’m dreaming about writing, doing something wild and adventurous, or trying to make the world a better and more open minded place to live in. I adore beautiful men, and I know I’m not alone in this! Eroticism between consenting adults, in all its many forms is the icing on the cake of life!
The first story's just sweet and nice, I just liked it :) The second one I liked too, but I had a problem with Ace secretly recording that tape and using it to blackmail Noah not to print the article. Don't get me wrong, I didn't approve of Noah's crusade and I'm glad, that eventually he's changed his mind, but still I draw a line at using a sex-tape as a blackmail (even though Ace said he'd never follow through with it) and then claim that night mattered for him so much. The ending was sweet, but I still couldn't root for MCs the way I usually do. But the last story was simply great. Emotional roller coaster, but that's so worth it! Loved both characters and the story immensely!
I loved this book. Other than that I wanted each story to be longer, this was an absolutely perfect read. Like the first two volumes, the stories all revolve around love that is "inconvenient" for various reasons that range from closeted men to enemies to impossibly dangerous situations. In all the stories love ends up as the victor, even though it definitely doesn't look like that throughout most of what's happening.
I loved Brody, a physiotherapist charged with rehabilitating a soccer player after an accident. Both men have been hurt by previous lovers who didn't want to recognize their relationship. They end up hurting each other in an attempt to protect their hearts before they figure out that their feelings are more important than anything else.
Noah, a magazine publisher on a mission to drag all celebrities out of the closet, was a little more difficult to like at first, because he was so stubborn. I could see why he thought what he was doing was right, but his approach also held a lot of potential for damage. When he meets Ace, the hot drummer of a top rock band, he has met his match. Noah learns an important lesson about himself and turns everything around. Thank God it isn't too late to convince Ace to give their love a chance.
My favorite of the three stories in this book was the last. Yan is a very naive, vulnerable young man doing time for his older brother. The emotions as he enters prison and realizes he is in real danger are intense. His strategy to seek the protection of an ex-gangleader is great in theory, but Diego is a very tough nut to crack and expects payment. I was on the edge of my seat for most of this story, totally swept into the world of a high security prison and Yan's struggle to not only survive himself, but protect Diego from their common enemies at the same time.
I like this Anthology better than the previous two.
The first story, "Man On" is a classic falling in love with a brat-type of guy, who is more than what he seems. Totally love the chemistry between Brody and Vic. And the way that Vic demands a kiss as a token if he can make to the end of walking ramp is just CUTE! The second story is my least favorite BUT still deserves a 4 star. Why least? Because I don't really like Noah in the first time, him with his witch-hunt pursuit of exposing gay men in the closet. I'm glad that Ace corrects him of his error.
But the third one, oh the third one is the BEST story in this anthology. It's a well round story about finding your love in the least thought of place, the prison. I'm in love with Yan (the 18 year old hero in this story) immediately. From the first time he's taking the jail time for his brother and his determination to survive in prison, and for being strong despite what happens to him. LOVE that guy. The ending just make me all smiling stupid
Clearly, I have been reading too much fluff. Not that I mind, and story #1 and #2 in this anthology will fall into that category. The grittiness of story #3 "Man Inside", however, totally blew me away.
Loved Yan. This story is so freaking well done it astounds me. Absolutely hated Noah though. Since Brody was average I rated on the side of knowing this group of anthos from DJ Manly is above average and gave it 4 stars.
This was the first new book I've read coming out of my slump of a couple of weeks. Was it because of that and the fact I pushed myself to start reading again that my response to this was not the greatest?? *shrugs* Who knows. Whatever the case I found it very difficult to suspend disbelief this time with the work of an author I generally like. It was strange, hence the lack of a rating.
I liked Brody and his soccer star. I didn't like Noah, he was just a self-righteous person, hurting others because he was hurt. I the prison story just creeped me totally. Just my issues as usual.
