I TOTALLY enjoy the relationship between Sam and Karena...Sam is very protective of Karena...and I love how he could read her like a book...he knew when she was upset, when she was trying to run from him and what she was feeling before she spoke it...he had a sixth sense about him...and he was DEFINITELY good for her...he was CONSTANTLY trying to show her how to relax and take time for herself...and I SIMPLY fell in love with Romeo the Great Dane...as ALWAYS it's a pleasure catching up with the Donovan's, the Benett's, the Desdune's and their ever-growing circle of family/friends...and I can't wait to see if something happens between Monica Lakefield, the Ice Princess and Alex Bennett...and when Sam asks Karena to move in with him I was like if she WON'T I WILL...just give me the address...the description of his place sounds like a little piece of HEAVEN, right here on earth...LOL

Entertaining

Of course the romance between, "Karena and Sam" was nice however other themes caught my attention. The father coming to terms with his daughters, the mother chooses her path on her terms and timetable. The youngest sister learned a lot from observing and listening. Next up, " Winter Kisses"

My first book by this author, but definitely won't be my last. I probably read it out of order but oh well, I'll catch up. However, I thoroughly enjoyed Sam & Karena's story. It's amazing how we'll set boundaries in our mind regarding how our lives should play out. Karena was about miss out on love by setting those boundaries while Sam was too busy pushing the envelope. It was a cute story just the same.

The chemistry between Karena (Sisters Monica And Deena Lakefield) and Sam Desdune (Sister Sabrina - husband Renny Bennett, Lynn, brother Cole) was great. Sam knew what he wanted and went after it. Karena wanted what she wanted but did not want to give up career for Sam of which he never asked her to. Sam just wanted her to live for herself. Karena did not like the ultimatum that Sam issued to her but once she talked with her younger sister Deena she understood what she needed to do. Go get her man.

Now on read about romance writer Deena Lakefield and Real Estate mogul Maxwell Donovan "Touch Of Fate". Can't believe I have had these book in my library and haven't read them.

Much different from Bree, Samuel Desdune's sister, story. For some reason, the chemistry between Sam and Karena felt strained, forced. Although "Guarding His Body" was a fantastic introduction, the transision from the Donovan brothers has been a disappointment.
