After defeating Volrath and saving the Mortal Realm from his rule, Bran decides to venture on a journey of his own and goes in search of his people.
The Worldbreakers.
This journey, however, is far more dangerous than he had ever expected.
The Lost Realms, where the Worldbreakers reside, have been separated from the Mortal Realm by more than just a portal only a Worldbreaker could create—they have been separated by time.
The Worldbreakers he finds are thousands of years old and incredibly powerful, and their king does not trust outsiders.
Upon arriving in the Worldbreaker Realm, Bran and his friends are forced to fight in an arena against opponents they couldn’t hope to defeat.
The only way for Bran to survive—and save his friends—is to uncover a secret about himself, one that gives him the potential to be more powerful than any Worldbreaker who has ever lived.
Another great arc in Bran’s story sees him finally meet his people
Sadly it does not go as well as he had hoped it would and he learns that many worldbreakers are hundreds of years old or older than that and along Goltran has maintained control for thousands of years in their world
And mortal summoners have forgotten so much over time that Bran soon see that he and everyone in the mortal plane are outclassed in a huge way by the many worldbreakers over level 100. And their monsters are over level 100. And their king rules by strength and while he is seen as a tyrant, no one is strong enough to challenge him. Bran is nowhere close to strong enough to challenge the king, something he learns without a doubt. The intrigue is here as well and there is a surprise that I didn’t see coming but put a great twist into the story! Can’t wait to see what the next step is as Bran needs a plan and allies to stop King Goltran from invading the mortal realms to remove the stain that is half-breeds or mortal summoners from existence.
Ohhhh! Wow! Soooooooo freakintastic! Bran and his intrepid team, no family by choice... Step into what they believed is the Worldbreaker's Realm, another one of the many Lost Realms, long forgotten by history. Bran wished to solve the mystery of their disappearance, and hopefully find more about them, himself, maybe even locate his parents?!? Soooooooo many questions!!! What they didn't expect, upon stepping there, was to immediately be taken to prison. With a bit of flim flam they managed to escape. And with a little cajoling Bran sent his family back to the Mortal Realm. And sure as shootin you guessed it... More Training. So much more training, sigh. But who is the Captain of the Royal Guard? Bran knows that he's not who he says he is. Why is he helping? What's his game? Just more questions... And Bran is under a deadline to stop, prevent or simply squash another War. You'll definitely Need to read this penultimate book to find the answers...
Bran escapes the King with his friends and the Guard Captain. Bran sends his friends back to the Mortal Realm to warn them of the impending war. As Bran is being trained by his "friend", the Captain, he starts to notice things about his friend that seems off. Eventually he finds out that his "friend " is actually someone else wearing an illusion.... He escapes his "friend " and goes in search of his parents that he believes are in the castle dungeon. After freeing all the one thousand seven prisoners, they escape through a portal, but the guards follow them and attack... Bran must win, he is the Worldbreaker of the Prophecy!...
This book felt like the training was never going to end. I was bored for nearly 40% of the story, but the end was exciting. At this point I'm not sure I care where it goes.
Read in 7 days, not like the other books that read in 1-3 days.
My least favourite in the series so far. I didn't like that the team of four was split up for most of the time. I especially didn't like that Bran felt he had to protect the other three. Not a mutual protection but a one-sided protection. I hated that this series has come to rely on trope of "the chosen one foretold in the prophecy". That's been done to death.

I like the revelations held in this installment. I do wonder how the next book will handle what may be a tough balancing act of powers between parties but overall great book!
After a promising start this series has abused the capture arc to the point that the MC has to qualify as one of the stupidest people in the history of writing.
Hate writing reviews, but when an author writes something remarkable I will make sure to say something. Love the series and one of the best in this sub genre.
I really like this trilogy it’s got so much like heroism, betrayal, loyalty and valor. I can’t wait to see what happens to Bran and his small army in the mortal realm
