In only 7 minutes a day, your child can read the Bible in 1 year! The Day by Day Kid’s Bible bridges the gap between a Bible storybook and a full-text Bible since the Scriptures are simplified for young readers.
Popular, bestselling children's author Karyn Henley, author of The Beginner’s Bible , has created a unique tool to help children establish Bible-reading habits for a lifetime―with an investment of just seven minutes per day.
Features include dated Bible readings for every day of the year, two-color interior, and a full-color pictorial timeline of events.
I write young adult fiction about embracing uncertainty and discovering who you are. To me, life is story and story is life, and figuring out each is a process of exploring paths and seeing where they lead. In my novels, I explore losing what you thought was your path but finding another way, questioning taken-for-granted beliefs, and holding on when you think you can't. I love nature, travel, and pondering the mystery we call God.
Very proud of myself for reading this and basically reading the full Bible. It was written in a way I can understand which is super helpful and engaging.
This was a great Read through the Bible in a year edition for kids. The wording was simplified and some of the parallel passages were condescended into one (the synoptic gospels, for example). I also appreciated the careful wording chosen in some of the graphic passages. I felt it kept the story and context in tact while making the Bible accessible for early independent readers.
Read-aloud with kids, January-Oct. 2025. Read when my kids were ages 8 & 10. I would say it's geared more toward ages 5-7 so the language was often a bit simplistic.
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It is dated and we started at the end of Revelation since she couldn't wait to start reading it. It's already so important to her the she packed it for our trip to Oklahoma without any prompting from me. So, today, we begin at the beginning and will journey through it every night in 2010
