This is not just for kids - adults will find it fun too, especially if you enjoy those hidden object games or puzzles. There are a ton of pictures to keep you occupied, organised by themed chapters (e.g. pets, friends, school, neighbourhood, vacation, nature, etc). However, all the pictures are either not coloured, or in monochrome. And because the hidden object style is very similar in many of the pics, you soon know what to be looking for, or how to search for stuff. This makes the puzzles get tedious very quickly. Also, I did not like how numbers were flipped and you were expected to identify them as such (e.g. 9, 3), especially when you could already find said numbers hidden elsewhere in the pic, in their proper positions.

There are a few puzzle variations (e.g. spot the difference, identify "errors" in the picture), along with questions about the pictures (e.g. are there more bottled drinks than gum in the bin, how much did Linda pay altogether, etc) related to the puzzle type. But on the whole there just still wasn't enough puzzle variation to erase the tedium.

I'm still giving this 3 stars though, for the effort mainly. The pictures were very original and the hiding of objects required skill to create so that they would blend in well. The book is also wholesome and teaches children about many topics while trying to make it fun. Despite its flaws, this would still make a good gift for anyone who likes doing image-related puzzles.
