This isn't my favourite Pratchett - or at least it wasn't when I first read it and it's not one of the ones that I've been back to reread recently so I don't know if my opinion has changed with age (!) - and it's not one of my favourite adaptations either as it turns out. It doesn't seem to work quite as well as the Briggs ones do. Or at least it didn't for me. Still it was nice to revisit Lancre and the witches - my most reread books featuring them at the moment are their appearances in the Tiffany Aching books when they're (even) older than they are here!
