Ellen Dugan is the award winning author of over thirty six books and the Witches Tarot. She branched out successfully into paranormal fiction in 2015 with her popular Legacy Of Magick series. Her portfolio of work also includes dozens of articles in the Llewellyn Almanacs and Calendars and 15 non-fiction books. I like Ellen Dugan's witchy books. They are very folksy and eclectic, and they do not seem to be tuned into any particular tradition, which makes them very useful. 7 Days of Magic is a book of correspondences peppered with a few simple spells. Each day of the week has deities, colors, stones, herbs, metals, and more listed, along with spells using these lists. This is a good book for building your own spells and rituals, and it includes interesting (if not particularly historically accurate) information about the various deities and corresponding objects. If you're not cool with eclectic witchcraft, this probably isn't the book for you, but I found it incredibly useful.

This book explains in plain terms the correspondences between the days of the week, deities, herbs, colors, and other witchy knowledge to give your spells, charms, and rituals the most bang for your broom.
