Research Methods, Design, and Analysis, 11th Edition

Rate this book
This text presents a reader-friendly introduction to the basic principles of experimental psychological research. Research Methods, Design, and Analysis is organized so that each chapter focuses on a specific step in the research process. This text provides instruction in experimental research as well as non-experimental approaches such as ex-post facto research, correlational research, and survey research. Also included are qualitative research approaches such as ethnography and phenomenology. The current edition, while maintaining detailed coverage of the experimental method, has expanded coverage on nonexperimental methods as well as expanded coverage of data analysis.

This book is interesting, challenging, repetitive, and repetitive. Honestly, the only thing I like about "redundancy" is the sound of it.

It did the job, I just hated every second of it. Do I even want a master's degree at this point? Not if I have to do this again.

Solid overview of research methods in psychology but lacks in engaging graphics for illustration purposes and the order of chapters doesn't always make sense as they in several places need to explain something that comes later in the book in order to describe whatever their present topic is.

Also, as an instructor, does not include much in the way of helpful materials to enhance integration of the book into class.

Required for my doctoral class. It explained the concepts in a very clear, easy-to-understand way. I got everything I needed from it.

Thorough. Packed with a lot of great information.
I rented the online book but I'm thinking perhaps I should have bought it for future reference.
