I wish there was a more recent edition just because brain research is so fast-moving! This is a very comprehensive book dealing with everything from brain research, body-brain relationship, multiple intellegences, pattern sseking and teaching for understanding. However, all of this is to set the groundwork for integrated thematic instruction. Of course I loved that as it has been the basis for how we taught at the Islamic School of Seattle, a pedagogy that, unsurprisingly, is not only is supported by research, but applies the Islamic concept of Tauheed (unity) to how we teach.
