Normally I loathe self-help books and pffftt them off as being written by self-righteous braggarts. This author is by no means self-righteous . She seems like a genuinely careing person, and she writes with humor and self-depriciation. I feel like she and I became good friends during the book. That being said, the book is somewhat outdated and in some places a little sexist but I'll forgive that. The only thing that really bugged me was that it seemed to be more of a review of a whole bunch of other books instead of a book itself.

What a good book. Many LOL moments. I've been married 25 wonderful years, but this book is great for any married couple in the first years or after many years. What a great wedding or anniversary gift!

The title of this book drew me in right away, and the blurb on the back convinced me to read it.

I would classify my husband and my marriage as being of the "chocolate chili pepper" variety. I thought this book was hilarious and so very true. A few parts were dated, as it was written in 1999 but aside from that, I laughed out loud in parts and felt my eyes tearing up in others.

I love Becky's writing and humor, so I've added many of her other books to my 'must read' list.
