Compared to other books I've read from these authors, Pacey and his Unicorn Professor by Colbie Dunbar and Lorelei M. Hart is more chill. The most hair-raising/stressful thing happened in the first chapter and only Pacey was in it. Their first meeting was admittedly high adrenalin but after that everything was more or less smooth sailing.
The title mislead me at first because I had the impression that Pacey was a student and Sable was his professor. It turns out that Sable is a professor in a community college, yes, and is Pacey's "his anything" by virtue of being his mate. A better title would probably have been Pacey and THE Unicorn Professor. I confess to being a little disappointed only because I thought there would be a little taboo thrown in there to spice things up.
I also felt a little incomplete by some characters being mentioned, like Stallone, for example, and nothing more is said about him except "family friend". Up to the end Sable never introduced him to Pacey. We also never met Sable's brother or found out his name. Bowell is a shifter midwife but aside from the initial checkup, he had no part in the birthing, so what was he "midwifing"?
According to https://www.pregnancybirthbaby.org.au: A midwife is a health professional trained to support and care for women during pregnancy, labor, and birth. They help you to stay healthy during pregnancy and, if no complications arise, to give birth with little intervention. Midwives also care for you and your baby in the first few weeks following the birth.
Therefore, should Bowell be even called a midwife? Why not just call him a healer? Which also brings to mind Stedman, the bear shifter who, besides helping Pacey clean his house in anticipation of his return, is also a healer, or I guess an apothecary. So confusing.
That aside, it's a HEA story so if light reading is what you are after then Pacey and his Unicorn Professor by Colbie Dunbar and Lorelei M. Hart is a good book to get into.

This is the second book in the Shifterly Ever After series and you can fully enjoy it without having read the previous book first. This is the story of Pacey and Stable. Pacey is an omega human who is recovering from a severe bus accident. He decides that staying in the cabin that his grandfather left him is his next best step. Deaf due to the accident, he is learning how to live with his new reality and hearing aids. Deciding he needs connections he joins the local cribbage club and beings to make friends who support him. Needing a moment of quiet, he goes for a walk in the woods without his hearing aids in. This leads to a near life and death incident. And it is their that he meets Stable. Stable is an alpha English professor and unicorn shifter. He has moved back home and is wishing for a family of his own. While out enjoying the woods he sees Pacey in danger. His unicorn immediately runs to his aid. Happy that they saved the man, he is worried about breaking the "not reveal yourself to humans" policy that unicorns must adhere to. But that is not the biggest problem. Stable has found his mate. A mate who keeps talking about a magical horse. Each time he does, it upsets Stable's unicorn. When they finally start to talk to each other, Pacey expects to be rejected due to his medical limitations. Stable is afraid of scaring off Pacey. Pacey should have realized, always expect the unexpected when dealing with unicorns. This is their story. The two are a sweet couple and deserve all the happiness they find. It is nice that the shifter is question is an unusual one. Not a lot of unicorn shifter stories around. The book is well written and easy to read.

Pacey is a human omega who has heard about shifters from stories from his grandfather who raised him. When his work went remote, he decided to see the world and has been traveling. Then the bus he was riding on crashed leaving Pacey with a bad head injury and almost total loss of his hearing. Being alone and hurt in a strange country where he couldn't really speak the language, has Pacey longing for home. He returns to his grandfather's house and is trying to adjust to his lack of hearing and headaches. One day he is out walking and doesn't hear the warning yells. Before he could be flattened by a huge log rolling over him, he is pushed to safety by what looks like a unicorn. Pacey is even more shocked when the unicorn turns into a very handsome man who Pacey can't take his eyes off of.

Alpha unicorn shifter Sable has returned to his home town to live in the same home he was raised in and teach at the local college.
Pacey was on a walk in the woods shortly after returning home, leaving his hearing aids at home. He was near a logging crew but didn’t realize it. Sable’s unicorn had shifted and had been on a run through the woods, he had just shifted back when Sable heard a tree come down and start to roll right toward the human in his path. He yelled but got no reaction so Sable quickly shifted back into his unicorn and rescued the man. A good, quick read with likeable characters. After his accident, Pacey is eager for a home, friends, and a sense of community. What he doesn't expect is to be rescued by a super hot, naked man who is also a unicorn shifter. The instant attraction is real and felt by both men. Sable is finally feeling settled being back in the small town he grew up in and teaching at the local community college, rescuing the adorable Pacey - his mate - is a welcome bonus. There is a bit of miscommunication as Sable holds off on mating and marking Pacey since he feels that since Pacey is human, he would need more time to feel a connection. Meanwhile, Pacey is fearing he is not as desired because of his hearing loss. A not-so-unexpected letter from the unicorn council forces them to talk about it and they finally get on the same page, mating, marking, and loving so well, it leads right to a sweet baby and a satisfying HEA.
The ARC I read still needs a bit of polishing that will hopefully be completed for the final copy.

And now Pacey could be in danger from the Unicorn Council unless Sable is willing to mate him immediately. Stedman healed Pacey the best he could, and Pacey knew Stedman and Sable were shifters. In fact, Pacey is Sable’s actual mate, but Sable doesn’t want to mate with him without his express permission. Would the Council question him before he could figure out what to do?

Pacey And His Unicorn Professor is Book 2 in the Shifterly Ever After series. Pacey, a human omega who got into a bus accident that left him with severe hearing loss, finds himself in the cabin his grandfather left him. Sable, an alpha unicorn shifter, is an English Professor at the local community college. I enjoyed this book and Pacey and Sable are so sweet together, from their first meeting when Sable saved Pacey even though he wasn't supposed to shift in front of humans. I appreciated Pacey's hearing loss but it seemed at times he had full conversations with Sable without his hearing aids in. What exactly was he hearing from his mate while sick in the tub, when it was made a point that Pacey left his hearing aids on the night table. Maybe it's just me nitpicking but I think it could've been explained better. I am looking forward to the next book though.

Omega Pacey sets out to see the world but a tragic accident nearly took his life, instead leaving him with severe hearing loss and a desire to connect with others. He moves into the cabin left to him by his late grandfather in a small community and begins to build his new life. Alpha unicorn shifter Sable tried life in the city but also returns to the same small town he grew up in and lives in his childhood home. Sable comes to the rescue when Pacey is nearly killed when he can’t hear the danger he’s in, and the pair realize they feel an instant connection with one another. The romance and dynamics are fun in this story as the little family grows larger. Love that Sable lives up to his name and isn't just sparkles and glitter - horse! Sweet, romantic MM read with plenty of hot and steamy action!

This is book number 2 of the Shifterly Ever After series and focuses on Sable and Pacey. Pacey is a human omega who is involved in an accident that leaves him with significant hearing loss. He has been trying to navigate his new circumstance but has been struggling. He decides to move to his grandfather's cabin to set some roots. Sable is a Unicorn alpha who decided to move back to his hometown after feeling urged to do it. It doesn't take long for their paths to cross and for them to figure out what they are to each other. I really loved Pacey and Sable together and how Sable continuously built up Pacey's confidence when it came to his hearing. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

Pacey is a human omega in the "know" concerning shifters but that does not mean that he just saw a unicorn shift into the most amazing man he has ever seen. His beast had to be a horse because unicorns do not exist, right?! Sable is a unicorn shifter and not only has he scented him, saved him from being crushed by cut timber, but he has shifted in front of him! What will he do now with the man being human?! When Sable realizes that Pacey is deaf, it makes things a bit more difficult to explain. If you want a sweet story that has a hearing-impaired MC and the unicorn that falls in love with all of him, get this book and you may find an adorable "moon" at the end.

I haven't read the other books in this series but I have read books by these two authors before. This book did not disappoint! Sable is a unicorn shifter who is living on his own in the small town he grew up in.

I enjoyed these two characters, they were really sweet together, and well written. I think the book overall was written well. I do think once these two met their relationship was kind of rushed? But yet, I understand why it was. Sable had to mate Pacey in order to avoid getting in trouble with the unicorn council, so I understand why it was written that way, but yet.. it was still rushed to me.
Overall a really good, cute story, that was primarily focused on the main characters.

Pacey decided to travel Europe since he worked remotely but then was in a really bad bus accident where he had cracked his skull and lost his hearing. Realized he was alone and no one cared if he lived or died so he went to the cabin his grandfather left him. Sable was a professor at the university he graduated but went home with his brother to pack up their parents house and sell it but he brought his brother out. Sable hot a job at the local university one day he was out in the forest and heard Pacey got him out of the way of a log rolling down would have killed him. They both felt the mating pull! Good book!.

Pacey and His Unicorn Professor by Lorelei M. Hart and Colbie Dunbar was a pleasant surprise to me. I’m relatively new to reading shifter and mpreg romances. In fact, this is the second shifter and first mpreg romance I’ve read. Pacey and Sable’s story piqued my interest almost immediately. This is also the first romance I can recall reading that features a hearing impaired main character.
Pacey and His Unicorn Professor is a hurt/comfort romance featuring a bit of steam, moonlight, and unicorns. This novella was the perfect palate cleanser between full-length historical romances. These two authors were both new to me, but I’m now following them on Amazon, and I plan to make good use of my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Pacey and Sable story was an endearing one with unexpected circumstances that will make your heart swoon.
They are sweet together, but have some little troubles caused by miscommunications and the will to protect a wondrous gift.
I liked the community they formed, I liked the way they encounter, but my heart hurt a little at the way Pacey lost one of his senses that played a major role in their first contact.
I adored how they learn about each other and the way they formed their dream family when their bundle of joy joined them blessed by the moon.
It was a sweet story and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.

Unicorns are mythical, right? But one just saved your life!
I love this series! Lorelei and Colbie never disappoint. This book is everything I was hoping for. Sweet, sexy, great characters... both major and minor. Pacey is dealing with hearing loss. The subject is dealt with with dignity and compassion. Sable has an opinionated unicorn badgering him about Pacey. I fell in love with them both. From the lifesaving tackle, to cribbage, to claiming, to mpreg, and a moon assisted birth, this book will have you wanting more. I read it in one sitting. You are simply gonna love this book! From the preview, the next one should be just as good. I can't wait.

I absolutely loved this book. I liked that one of the characters was deaf- it's more rare to come across a character with some kind of disability or handicap in romances, so those always intrigue me to see how it plays into things. And also- unicorn shifter! That alone was a must-read for me. I really liked both unicorn Sable and omega (human) Pacey. The attraction between them was immediate. Sable rescued him from nearly being crushed, and in the process accidentally revealed himself as a unicorn. That could put him in a lot of trouble with the unicorn council. Also, Pacey was his mate. This was such a sweet read. I couldn't put it down. 5 stars.

This was a very sweet and knotty story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about these two characters. Sable is a unicorn shifter who one night meets his fated mate Pacey. Pacey is a human, he was travelling Europe while working remotely, the bus he was travelling on, crashed which left Pacey deaf for the rest of his life. Sable saved Pacey from a tree which had been felled and he recognised Pacey as his fated mate.

Pacey, an omega human, who knows about shifters and has been in an accident that caused him his hearing, meets Sable, a unicorn shifter, who saves Pacey from being crushed in a logging accident at the same time that he recognizes him as his mate. I like the way the truth about Sable being a unicorn shifter comes out with Pacey and later the fact that they are fated mates. Both are lonely and they find a way to keep their love and have a HEA and a baby.

Fate will find a way. Pacey, made a decision to expand his horizons and travel since he worked remotely. He had an accident in Spain, suffered a terrible injury and decided to head back home to the cabin his Grandfather left him. Sable, returns to his hometown to reconnect with his roots and meets Pacey during a life threatening rescue. Pacey is shifter friendly, so that is one hurdle to building a relationship. Fun story, too short. Nice getting to know each other, while learning about one selves. Good flow. Nice story. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I liked Pacey and his Unicorn Professor by Lorelei M. Hart and Colbie Dunbar. I enjoyed Sable and Pacey's story. I liked how Pacey and Sable met and the friends Pacey made while playing cribbage. I wasn't quite sure why Sable was so afraid of the unicorn council and their punishments. It wasn't like the person who saw his unicorn wasn't his mate. I would think mates would be an exception to the make sure no human sees your unicorn side rule.

This was a sweet and steamy mpreg romance. It was a quick read, but it packed a punch. The characters were very likable and genuine. I liked that there was a less than perfect character, in that he loses his hearing. I loved that a unicorn, which one would tend to view as graceful and innocent, was opinionated and headstrong. The MC’s had amazing chemistry and they were so sweet and lovely together. The story flowed very well and the only thing I regret is that I wish it were longer. Well worth the read.

I don't think I'll ever get over how adorable this series is. Colbie and Lorelei write the sweetest shifter MMPreg characters, they constantly make me swoon. Add in the fact that they are super short and they make the perfect palate cleansers. I really loved both characters to pieces and it was a extra special bonus that Pacey was hard of hearing and uses aides. I'm absolutely picking up book three in Shifterly Ever After.

Pacey hit a stretch of physical bad luck and gains hearing problems and decides returns to his happy place of his youth. There Sable, a unicorn shifter, rescues him when he is in physical danger. They notice a click and Sable realizes Pacey is his mate.
This was a very low angst, uncomplicated and sweet read of course with hea and a cute baby at the end of this A/O MM Mpreg shifter.

I adored Pacey and Sable's story. Their initial meeting was definitely climatic and romantic...who wouldn't want to be rescued by their "knight" and then have fate give you your forever mate. A lot of feels with this one...and an adorable baby girl to add to the guys HEA...SWEET!!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I like how Pacey and Sable are drawn back to the same small town from their youths. They meet when Sable saves Pacey and there is instant attraction. I like how they develop a relationship naturally despite pressures to rush. I loved how Luna came into the world.
