"Reece writes for therapy. After an unusual and generally unhappy childhood it is all he has, besides work. After nine books he is still getting rejection slips. No one likes rejection, least of all Reece. He hits on a plan, write a first person account on the inner workings of a serial killer’s mind. Especially while the memory is fresh. All it takes is Research. Warning: This is not a politically correct book and may upset readers with a gentle disposition. Don’t say you haven’t been warned!

Not the best writing style I've encountered, but a gripping and compelling story. The Main Character seems to grow more bizarre with each page. I had to constantly remind myself that this is a work of fiction. I'd definitely recommend it.

Wow! I couldn't put this one down. Super bizarre, but at the same time I wanted to know what happened. Although it left me wanting to know more, it was a pretty good read over all!

2 words to sum it up :

1- sick.
2- sick.

The first sick, is the positive sick! :p As an appreciation for the author's talent in describing and luring me into another world of excitement and thrill.
The second sick, is the negative sick! :p
It should be expected though, reading a diary of a (serial killer)!

If you're a fan of crimes and gore, you should read this book. :)

Wow! Such a great short read! I have to remind myself that this is just a work of fiction, that it is not actually in fact a diary of a serial killer for many times than I would like to admit. It just shows how hatred can motivate people; to kill. Not so descriptive, but it conveyed the emotions very effectively.

This was awful. I am not sure what Mr. Lee was attempting in writing this book. Some of the ways to kill individuals or should I call it research were creative. I did not care for his style and Reece's delusional thought that he was n0t a serial killer but doing research. Clear there as some development issues that occurred along the way. As for his girlfriend, I could understand her need for revenge on the stepfather. The mercy kills at the nursing him and he assisting her boyfriend to complete additional murders is just a"tad bizzare". The beginning of the book to make it look like a real story was a creative and interesting way to get the story going. This was not one of my most interesting crime stories whether real or make-believe. For me, I did read the entire book but felt it was a waste. I understand that Mr. Lee has other books, but I will not engage in exploring their content. Don't waste your time on this book. There are ones that are much better

I know it's bad, but Reece makes serial killing sound like a reasonable research methods. I loved his writing style, his interactions with Barbara and the so called bitches at work.

Oh, and his mother, I loved how he described his mother.

Is it me or this book turn out to be boring in the end. I really like reading this book in the first part, his first kill, his methodology and of course its uncommon storyline, a story of a serial killer or a man wanted to think like a serial killer.

I really like this book, its odd, and sometimes i'm afraid i might think like him, but of course being a reader you must know the limitation on how the books you read should influence your life. But anyways, this book is a good book but of course some part weren't that much impressive like Barbara and her story, what's with her? i just find it odd the Reece would find a girl like that... too many coincidence, and her story, the rapist stepdad, and the bald dude who rape her?

Anyways, this book is good but in the end this book is not something will give you an impression like, this is my favorite book on such sort. The idea is good, its unique but it is poorly articulated and how the storyline ended.

Creepy, gory, graphic, intense. If it wasn't for the fact that I had to read a "psychopath" themed book for school, I wouldn't really have a reason to read this. It gets weirder and weirder as the main character, a curious writer, goes from a lonely, sketchy writer who conducts research for his stories to a freakish, psycho serial killer. To top it off, he finds a lover who turns out to be as crazy as he is who eventually teams up with him. If you like horror and suspense, I guess this is for you. Otherwise, I wouldn't really recommend it.

Reece, is your ordinary deliveryman/ writer who failed to publish any of his books due to lack of characterisation sometimes or plot development of the story in others. So he seeks for an idea that would satisfy their (publish companies) "hunger for action". So he started his "research" of being a series killer and documenting his feelings in his diary.

Not for the fainthearted. I suppose you must either be used to anything or be a little sadistic to enjoy the book. The author tried to captivate the reasons why someone can become a serial killer and touched factors like absent fatherhood, dominant mother, asocial behaviour, pathological mind. I have one critic however: I do not believe that a real serial killer will change his m.o. that much.

Great book. Easy to read. In some points you think that is crazy and sick and how the main character can do these things ... it is not actually real -it is just fiction. I was actually hoping to have more details and longer storyline, but for short story it is good.

Found this highly entertaining. Reminded me of a Chuck Palahniuk book.
