The exciting conclusion to the Walker of Time adventure triology follows Tag―who was zapped back to ancient times with his Hopi friend, Walker―as he tries to make it home.
First book in the Walker of Time Second book in the Walker's Journey Home
The suspense was enough to keep me turning pages into the wee hours of the morning. The emphasis in this book, the last one in the series, is not so much on the ancestral Hopis as it is on the history of the protective measures taken to guard antiquities. Walker and his ancient family fade into the background, which is appropriate considering that Tag is traveling forward to his own time period. Possible problems associated with time travel are an integral part of the story.
I was read this book years and years ago when I was in 3rd grade (I'm now 26) and I didn't remember anything about it, or the series, except that it left me feeling mystified and in awe. Tag Against Time is book 2 out of 3, I'll hold off on explaining them because chances are you aren't reading these books unless you're already a fan of them. I love the idea of this book and series, although reading this now I guess I expected it to be more about him doing more to help Walker and the native people rather than skip into different time periods and try to escape from being seen by ppl met in previous time periods, wanting to go home to his mom, and getting into different shenanigans. But can I really complain? It's made for young readers and to a young kid, this story would sound magical an full of excitement! All in all, I'll always love the Walker of Time series because it was a defining point in my childhood when it came to reading, and the whole idea about time traveling back in time to help a lost tribe of people is just SO cool.
