I thought this was such an adorable romance. Isaac and Serena are such totally likeable characters and I thought they made such a cute couple. These two had such great chemistry and I liked how the story flowed. I found this book to be entertaining and enjoyable to read.

Serena and her housemates are having a party. She is worried about things they will need, to clean and disinfect. It feels like the whole, Stonewall campus is at her house. Her dad bought her the house. Serena and her friends live there, rent-free. Her best friend and housemate, Lily is scolding her about getting upset tonight, about cleaning tomorrow. Lily sees, she needs a drink in her hand. So she can chill, the he//-out.
Serena heads to the kitchen, to get a drink to make, Lily happy. The party is simply because it’s, the last weekend before, the new semester starts. Two of her housemates are seniors, she and, Lily have graduated. Lily wants her drunk, and stupid, as they say. Mainly, it’s the first party, since breaking up with her, ex-Carter two months ago. He was only dating her, to mainline toward her, family's wealth. It wasn't just him being a gold-digger that pisses her, and her friends off, it was the subpar sex, during the entire relationship.
It’s in the kitchen, and she is strumming her nails on the counter, as she looks at the choices of drinks. Serena hears someone say, ‘You look like you are thinking hard.’ A tall guy stands there, looking casual in, his large build. The casual outfit doesn’t take away from, the utter surfer boy vibe he’s got going on. Tousled blonde hair, that has a bit shaggy, and the bluest eyes. He is gorgeous. Her thoughts take her away for a minute, ‘Oh lord, he has dimples, too.’
Isaac leans his elbows on the counter and asks, ‘A penny for your thoughts.’ When she says, ‘Well, how much cleanup I’ll have to do.’ He lets out a strong hardy laugh stating, ‘This is your place. Yeah, you will have a bit of work.’ That’s when introductions are made. That's when she notices she has butterflies around him she’s never had that with any guy. He asks if she is having a good time. She tells him she is now. That's when they get busy in the bedroom. When classes officially start that’s when they find out she is a TA in his class. Then, several weeks more, and then congratulations are in order.
See how these two move, from a one-and-done to a hey guess what? So, we can co-parent, right? To, what are these feelings? I love this couple together. What he experiences with his mom when he tells her, the news was difficult, and I felt for him. To see the turmoil, Serena put herself through, and her parents are, so welcoming knowing the gift of life is, just that a gift.
Clarissa McKay has given us another wonderful book! Her writing style makes reading fun and emotional. The characters are well-developed and layered. The book starts out with a searingly HOT first chapter when Isaac and Serena meet at a party and cave into their mutual attraction. Soon Isaac discovers that the woman he can’t stop thinking about is the new teaching assistant in his psyc class. Despite their mutual attraction, they agree that a relationship between them would be forbidden. Things change drastically when Serena discovers that she is pregnant. Isaac is a wonderful man who is eager to participate in all aspects of becoming a father. He is possessive, protective, and considerate. He and Serena face concerns about how their parents will react, what will happen when the college finds out he got his TA pregnant, and how a baby will impact their future careers. McKay takes the time to allow the characters to get to know each other and bond on a deeply personal level, which makes the story so fulfilling. The story is an emotional journey filled with love, hope, angst, and a happily ever after.
I enjoyed this romance with Grad Student Serena and college hockey player Isaac. These two had chemistry right from the beginning and then found out that she was a TA in his intro Psych class that he was taking as a Senior. Then to later find out she was pregnant... from him carrying around a old condom... that was original. What it told me about Isaac was all good things. Yes, he was a college hockey player, but he wasn't the star that would go onto the NHL. He was a normal guy, working 2 jobs to help out with college and he was really down to earth. I really liked him. Serena was an only child from a wealthy family and I enjoyed the relationship she had with her parents as well. She had doubts about co-parenting with Isaac, she thought he was only with her for the baby and wanted to think about them being more than that. How is Isaac going to convince her she is it for him??? While this is part of a series, and I read the other books, you can read this as a standalone. Not a lot of drama or angst from the usual suspects, so thoroughly enjoyed Serena and Isaac getting to their HEA!.

Surprise Baby for the Player was a fast-paced read with lots of heart. This is Isaac and Serena's story and is filled with warmth, compassion, love, loving, family, friends and more. The story is told by each of them in alternating chapters. It is set in a college town with school and hockey at its core there were a few stories being told and they were woven together nicely.
I loved how both Isaac and Serena treated each other as well as cared for each other - it was a breath of fresh air. Their compassion was off the charts and they were there for each other. I was glad when they finally let others in. It was nice to catch up with other characters we've met in other books. There were some steamy moments that added to the story. There was closure and I liked the epilogue but wish it had gone on a little longer. There were still some loose ends.
Ms. McKay is an author who sometimes take me out of my comfort zone but I enjoy her character development and relationships that she creates.

There Is No Turning Away From Destiny - Isaac and Serena were shocked to see each other again after their one night stand and to make it even more complicated, she was the teaching assistant to one of his professors. Whilst they were still attracted to each other, their circumstances didn’t allow them to pursue a relationship. However, they soon discovered their lives would no longer be the same after Serena discovered they were pregnant, which only solidified Isaac’s resolve to do everything within his power to make them a family.
The characters may have had their up and downs, but the chemistry between them was evident throughout the pages. The storyline took me right in and kept me glued to the pages, until I finished reading the book. This book deserves to be read by all avid romance readers.

***Warning - potential spoilers ahead - read with caution***
This was a great story about two college students who have a heated night of passion only to discover weeks later that it resulted in an unplanned pregnancy. What I enjoyed most of this story was that the pregnancy was the main focus of the story and how both parents deal with that, along with the stressors of college, figuring out a relationship and dealing with parents and their reactions to it. Often the pregnancy is something thrown in for a plot line, skimmed over and taken straight to after the birth. Not so with this story and that was quite refreshing. I fell in love with Isaac when his reaction to Serena telling him she's pregnant was what every expectant mother wishes for when she has to break that news. I also adored that they built a nice friendship base first before jumping into a full fledged relationship.

This is the fourth book I've read of Clarissa McKay's, and each keeps getting better and better! I love this college aged world and characters she has created, and I hope that there are more books to come in this series.
Normally, the surprise baby trope isn't my favorite because there is some form of deception, but the way she tells the story of Serena and Isaac confronting how their lives are going to change as 20-something olds and their developing relationship was superb. This couple is honest and real with each other about how their lives will change with a baby. There is so much heart in this story that I was really rooting for them as a couple and young parents! Looking forward to Clarissa McKay's next story!.

Isaac and Serena met at a party and had a one night stand or so they thought. Isaac wants more time with Serena but she’s reluctant because she’s the TA in his class. The chemistry between them just can’t be denied and they began a friendship; however, there are consequences from that one smoking night. Isaac is all in supporting Serena through her pregnancy. Serena is cautious because she doesn’t want issues with her job. Needless to say, things work out after a few bumps in the road. This was a great young adult novel. Isaac was sweet, thoughtful and considerate. He was perfect for Serena. I wish I could give this more than five stars!!.

One thing I love about Clarissa's books is even though they are easier reads, the characters have real depth and you feel like you could know them in real life. This one is steamy almost from the beginning, but of course there are always going to be issues on the way to happily ever after. Isaac & Serena meet at a party and are drawn together immediately. They have one night together, after which they discover that Serena is the TA for a class Isaac is taking. Obviously, their relationship can't continue. It hurts, but they are okay until Serena discovers that she is pregnant. There is angst that comes from that, but also Isaac is SO there for her and whatever she wants to do. He's such a good guy so I was chanting pick him, pick him, pick him!
From the moment Issac and Serena met at a party it was more than instant attraction, but they were not ready to consider it love either. To them, their night of unforgettable passion was only a one night stand that neither of them could put behind them. Things soon changed bringing them back together. When Serena discovered she was pregnant. They immediately go back to being friends only giving their over the top chemistry a chance to draw them emotionally closer as a couple. Every woman should have an Issac in her life to love, care, and protect her the way he did Serena. A wonderful romantic story you will not want to miss.

This is the third book in the college players series. It is a surprise baby romance and is Isaac and Serena's story. They hook up at a party and she ends up pregnant. She knows she is going to keep the baby. When she tells Isaac he says he will stand by her. Follow their story as they try to work things out and how the surprise baby news will affect them and their goals. They get closer to each other as they bond over the pregnancy, but there are doubts and obstacles in the way. When they do reach their happily ever after it is very heartwarming. Enjoyed this sweet romance and am looking forward to reading Clarissa's next book.

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. I was expecting the 'usual' angst filled teacher-student age-gap taboo romance and was pleasantly surprised it was different, with less emphasis on the 'taboo' and more on the reality of the situation and the accompanying emotions/ reactions of the main characters and their families/ friends. For me, this was a thoroughly enjoyable read, with likeable characters, smooth flow, heart tugging emotions, some steam and that the story took the necessary time for a friendship to grow between Isaac and Haley which made their falling in love believable.

Serena wasn’t looking to start a relationship, she just wanted to finish college and start her career. Fate on the other hand had other plans.
The chemistry was instant, the heat from Isaac and Serena are next level. A one night stand was all it was suppose to be, seeing her as his TA well that was unexpected but fate, is banging over their heads that they are meant to be. Sweet story of young love, Isaac is perfect for Serena, thoughtful, sweet and so very kind hearted. It’s no surprise the more time they spend together, the feelings start to show and become more real than anything else.

Another amazing story from Clarissa McKay, while it can be considered part of a series it's easy to read as a stand alone too. Two great characters who have amazing chemistry from the very first page, the story is told from each perspective and follows them along on their journey together following a one night stand.
I found myself demolishing this book, enjoying the witty and light hearted way this author writes but still shows so much depth to her characters and the stories she creates.
Another great romance novel, easy to read but much enjoyed.

Unexpected pregnancy. Serena meets Isaac at her house party, but it is supposed to be a one night stand. Despite her attraction to him, she is intending to concentrate on her future now having graduated. Isaac can't forget the girl and hasn't been able to find her. Neither are aware that he is in the class programme where she is TA and a relationship is forbidden. Secret pregnancy, difficult ex, trauma of keeping secrets and parent reaction, insecurities, future careers. They are meant to be together and need to reassure each other for successful HEA.

I enjoyed Serena and Isaac's, it was good story that was a bit unique that just added to the story.
Serena and Isaac met in a party and had a night. Isaac could not get her off his mind and was surprised to find that she was a TA in one of his courses. They knew they should stay away from each other and fought the attraction. When the two lines showed up, the line they did not want to cross became blurred.
This is story has well written characters. The love and care Isaac shows for Serena warms your heart, and I love her parents' reaction. A story that grabs your from the start.

Serena and Isaac meet at a party at her house. Sparks fly between them, and they end up together by the end of the night. However, the next day they learn that she is the new TA of his psychology class. They try to fight their attraction but end up giving in again. Its not long before Serena finds out that she is pregnant from their first night together. Will she tell Isaac about the baby? Can they make it work? What about school?
This is a great story that will hook you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

This was a quick read. Ik the dates don't match up with that but in my defence, I started another book on the same day as this one even though I put this on my "currently reading" thingy. The book in general was fine. Like I said, it's a quick read. Nothing really went deep. It felt superficial, only reaching the surface. It had one of my favourite tropes, but I just didn't really vibe with the characters. It just didn't hit. I want to say more but I just have nothing to add for Serena and Isaac. Everything went so quick and it wasn't very developed. I guess I'm glad they got their shit together? Literally have no idea what else to say bcs it just wasn't remarkable. Nothing outstanding.

It was instant chemistry the minute they met at a party and Serena and Issac had an explosive night together. Imagine their shock when they find out she is his teaching assistant. They cool things off since it will endanger her job. What happens when two pink lines appear later? The book is well written with some surprises and a twist or two. Some bumps in the road for the two well developed and layered characters. No cliffhanger and eventually an HEA. This is a very nicely written romance between a grad student Serena and college hockey player Isaac. They had explosive chemistry right from the beginning. Soon he discovers that she’s the teaching assistant in his intro Psyc class. Inspite their mutual attraction they agree that a relationship between them isn’t a good idea. Later she discovers she’s pregnant so things change. The story is an emotional journey of love and hope and a happily ever after. I strongly recommend the read.

They hook up before knowing anything about each other. Now she's pregnant, and no one can know he's the dad or she'll lose her TA position. I love Isaac - he's serious about wanting to be with Serena, even before she finds out about the baby. Serena is smart, but a bit insecure, second-guessing Isaac's intentions. They've surrounded themselves with great friends, and have amazing family support. It's a steamy feel-good story that left me smiling throughout. This is the 3rd book in the College Players Collection. The story follows Serena and Issac and is told in dual POV’s. Serena is a Grad Student and Issac is a college hockey player. This is a fast paced, entertaining story with a couple that was not only likeable but you wanted to root for. Nice length of pages. The hits kept coming when they realized she his TA in his intro to Psych class then she was pregnant and why was she pregnant, well he was carrying an old condom. Entertaining and enjoyable.

Isaac and Serena have one night together before learning she's the new TA in one of his classes. They fight the attraction, but can't stay away from each other.
When she finds out she's pregnant, will she lose her job? Will she tell Isaac? Can they make it work??
SO many good feels to this story! I loved the characters, and the fact that they were so relatable. Allows the reader to feel the emotions along with them. Great book, and highly recommend!.

This is the third book in this series, and this is Isaac and Serena’s story. These two shared a one-night together, before learning that she is a grad student TA, while he is a college hockey player. A surprise pregnancy brings some challenges to overcome. This is a well written story which is fast paced, and with secrets, challenges, emotions, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining page turner. Serena meets Issac cat a party and hooks up. He’s really into her but she is a TA in one of his classes and fears a conflict. He’s persistent, and hot and cute, oh and he plays hockey too. How can she resist? Fate intervenes and oops, 2 pink lines change everything.
This is a great read to add to the series. Of course there is a HEA after some soul searching and a few hiccups.

Another beautiful love story by Clarissa Mckay. I totally like her writing style and storytelling. The characters were easy to fall in love with and the story was fun to read. It's one of my favorites she has written so far. I felt it all. The love and happiness, the vulnerability and insecurities, the bits of sadness and I loved ervery second of it.
Standalone with HEA told from dual POV. No cliffhanger.

Instant chemistry, an old condom, and a off-limits relationship Isaac and Serena had instant chemistry, that eyes across a room type of thing. An a one night stand which leads to first finding out that Serena is a TA in one of Isaacs classes, and secondly in a surprise pregnancy.
I loved the way the author wrote the characters, they were both strong, independent personalities and yet they had enough in common to forge a real relationship, not just a sexual one.
