3 stars but mostly only for Reason because the heroine is a fantastic vampire hybrid lawyer. She’s confident, resilient, and stole the show. The hero is pretty terrible though. All he does is push her away, because his previous mate died. And our girl is a vampire. He’s also really prejudiced towards her vampire blood in multiple scenes, including after she saves his life 😬
The pacing is also weird. It’s this slow burn that turns full speed suddenly. Did I mention the hero is a manwhore prior to mating with Reason?
Teddy Hamilton is the audio actor. He was fantastic 🤌🏼
TLDR;
Worth the audible listen because of the heroine alone, but be prepared to dislike the hero 🙃

Battle of Wills!
Man what patience and determination and control! I can't imagine that I would have that much control and patience with such a sexy, commanding hunk like Jackal and I'm a very patient person!
Vampire Hybrid and daughter of the most powerful vampire of NY and the Northeast King Oskar Orlav, Princes Reason Orlav has never really been accepted by either the vampire, or the human world, but that has never stopped her from being the best that she can be, just like her 2 BFF's Hybrids like herself. They have found their ever after though, but Reason just can't trust any man to want her for herself and not her position. Vamps and shifters don't get along, but Reason finds it hard to not to get annoyed and giving him lip whenever she sees Jackal, but she can't stop her lady bits from crying either. She wants forever with a man and he won't give it, if his reputation is any indication.
Jackal's wolf keeps banging on his cage because he wants Reason, but Jackal the man won't make a commitment with a vampire, they took his mate and unborn child away from him years ago. He hates anything vampire, but not Reason he just wants to take her and forget everything arund him, but his memories just won't let him. Will he forget his prejudices and move forward, or will he live his life forgetting for a few hours in different beds.
What a battle of wills, it is awesome! Read how stubborn two souls can be and how they fight the attraction neither one can deny. I laughed, cried and got very frustrated at times with both of them, not to mention that dirty talking of Jackal's, I loved, but I totally enjoyed every minute of it

Audiobook review.
This isn’t my first Sedona Venez and it won’t be my last. I love her characters and her stories. I think there’s room to improve the writing because some of the wording is repetitive and too descriptive and the resolution of the story and the final relationship development is too fast.
I liked the variation on ‘wrong side of the tracks’ or in this case ‘wrong side of the supernatural’s DNA pool’.
Well narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Eva Lucas.

Lovin the series
Excellent read just like the first 2. (You must start at first book) its very fast paced so you don't want to put it down. Love how the author goes back and forth between his and her views, so you always know what each main character is thinking. Hot, sexy parts, HEA, oh and hybrid vampire and shifter love.

It takes Reason to claim a broken whither heart and soul
This story was worth the wait. Reason went against her father on all turns of her life. Okscar Orgor was the ruthless vampire leader of the northeast. His hybrid daughter Reason took no prisoners. Although she was his daughter she was seen as an abomination because she wasn't a pure vampire due to Human mother. It that didn't stop her fierce personality. She used it to make her who she was and let no one close to her heart until that one man. Jackal was the head enforcer for Ryker and took his job serious. He also hated vampires because they killed his mate and unborn child to get back at him. When Light was kidnapped by the Shadows who happen to ruled by her godfather. He had no choice to work with Reason, she was one of Lights best friends and Ryker's mate. His traitorous wolf wants to claim Reason as his mate but the part couldn't get on board. But he would kill anybody else eying what's his. Things heat up when she follows him out of a club and see him fighting a couple of shadows and they outnumber him and cause him almost his life until she break vampire law and give him some of her blood. Things ,tempers, and people heat up. Will he get over his dislike of vampires and claim his woman, will they find Light before Reason has to be killed for breaking the law and her daddy can't save the princess?

This book should have come with warnings!
There was no warning stating that I would become so enchanted by the characters that I would not be able to put this down until the last page had been read -
my 16yr old had to make his own dinner, not a pretty sight
There was no warning saying I would be on an emotional rollercoaster through the whole story-
smiling and laughing one page and then pleading to the kindle gods for strength on the next (oh and some seriously "fan yourself shut the door" moments)
You dragged my every emotion through a free fall - I had trouble catching my breath at times.
Oh, and I had to go back and buy the first two because - well, yeah - it was that good!

One more amazing addition to the series! Each story begins where the last one left off. Questions get answered, but new ones appear! If you are following the series, you are aware of the "magnetic pull" between Reason and Jackal. They are each dancing around the draw to the other...but will they be able to continue? Will Reason be forced into marriage with Stephan? Will the Other's war commence?
So much going on, so many possible scenarios, only the characters and author know how this will end up...or do they??!!

Reason is the daughter of the Vampire king, she is independent and progressive. Her father wants her married and pregnant, forever ineffective. Jackal is a shifter with a grudge against vampires. Fate has made Reason Jackals mate and that is just the start of their problems.

Reason to love
Another great paranormal romance novel Sedona Venez!!!! This book contains drama, betrayal, hope, dreams, intrigue, deception, and finding true love. Jackal and Reason had instant attraction but force it to the end. I will be recommending this book to everyone I know!!!!

I highly recommend this series to those who love paranormal romances. Each book features great characters. I especially love the strong female characters that challenge the men who want them. The men are just as strong and very hard to resist.
Reason is half-vampire and half human which causes issues in the vampire world. Her father is very powerful and wants her to find a nice vampire to have children with to continue his legacy. Jackal is wolf shifter and one of the betas of his pack. He has no interest in relationships and especially one with a vampire. They both know that a relationship between a vamp and a shifter is forbidden but they have a hard time fighting their attraction. As both shifters and vampires face a powerful enemy hard decisions need to be made. It gets worse when the danger becomes personal.
I really like Reason. She is very protective of her friends and willing to take great risks to protect those she cares about. She doesn't take the easy path and I admired her for her choices. Jackal is a little harder to figure out but he is just a s dedicated. He just hides it more. The chemistry between them is so strong and I really wanted them to find a way to be together without major damage.

Best Friends that stick together
It's been nice to see each friend fall in love and find their mate! I hope Venez does a book on how Lighting was rescued and of how she and Ryker get the Others to unite. Lighting and Ryker are my favorite couple from this series!

Great story, I am so intrigued with it all, the characters are fantastic and I couldn't stop reading it I am so going to get the rest, I love paranormal romance and this book did it perfectly. A series I definitely recommend just by this book and I suggest you start with book one.

Half-vampire, Reason is working to become a partner at her father’s law firm. She is working on getting respect of the vampires they serve. She meets Jack a werewolf who feels an instant attraction to her. Jack and Reason work together to save their friend. This was a good shifter romance. I enjoyed the story and romance. Jack was a little bit hard headed, but over all it was fun.

When I read book 1 in this series, I only did it because of the author. I am not too much into Paranormal, but I had loved every book of Sedona Venez's that I had read, so I decided to give it a try. It did not take me far into the book, before I was hooked. I have been looking forward to this book for awhile, and was so excited when it arrived, and it did not disappoint. The writing is just phenomenal. She keeps you on your toes reading this book, so that you do not want to stop reading. It has lots of excitement, laughter, and sizzling hotness. I like a strong woman, and Reason, who is a vampire/ human hybrid is definitely that. Then, Jackal is one sexy werewolf. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced copy, and I highly recommend this whole series, or you can read this one without having read the others if you want to. Now I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Wow, wow, wow!!! Absolutely amazing! This was a great book! Reason Orlov is the vampire princess that has so many responsibilities, one that includes her father forcing her to marry a consort of his choosing. And it just so happens to be a man she despises. When her best friend gets kidnapped by the shadows, she works with the shifters to help find her. Little did they know her friends own father had her. But, during the mix of locating her, Reason starts working close to Jackal who is a shifter and her body begins lusting after him. Jackal being a shifter has a hard time trusting vampires, after the tragedy he suffered of losing his mate. When ever he's around Reason his wolf keeps yelling at him mater, claim mate. Because of her bloodline he refuses. The chemistry between Reason and Jackal is off the charts smoking hot. That you just can't get enough of them. This book ends with a happily ever after and you can't help but want more!

You immediately fall into the story and are routing for an HEA for Reason. The background is wonderful and you can immediately see and feel everything in such vivid detail. This is a third story in a series but it can be read as a standalone. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

Jackal is slowly learning that his woman has a stubborn side and doesn't budge, like on anything, “Jesus, woman,” Jackal snapped. “Why can’t you follow simple instructions?” His eyes flashed angrily before he gave me a light push, motioning for me to move behind him, but I refused to budge." Jackal tends to get turned on at bad times, “dang.” He laughed huskily. “You fighting like a h***cat is so effing hot. This was one emotional ride. Reason is a vampire princess being protected and sheltered by her father because she is a hybrid. She is a good lawyer working for her father but he won't make her a partner because he wants her to marry a man she hates to carry on their legacy. Now, her best friend is kidnapped by her grandfather and she runs to the pack to help. Jackal is a broken wolf shifter. His mate and unborn child were killed by vampires so how could he be attracted to Reason? They have a long road ahead but love does succeed for these two. I was really grateful to her father in the end, he proved that he did love her.
